Our experience

I found myself comparing Marsh farm to all the other adventure farms we’ve been to, and it’s just not as good as those. Don’t get me wrong, it was fun, but once you’ve been to places like Knockhatch and Hobbledown, the bar will be set high after that.

To be fair a few things like soft play and the indoor barn are still currently closed, so maybe that would’ve made a difference. I just felt like it was missing something, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Also, I have to say the Easter event wasn’t that great. Little miss went on the shortest egg hunt ever, and the prize was a few mini Easter eggs and a sticker. There were staff dressed up interacting with the kids, but I feel like there could’ve been more.

A storytelling session, fun with bubbles, an Easter themed assault course are just some ideas I have if anyone from Marsh Farm happens to read this, lol

I’m not saying it was a bad day out, but I struggle to understand why everyone talks about how amazing this place is. Maybe I need to go to a different event.

What can you do there?

  • See the animals. They have rabbits, goats, cows and more
  • Mini golf – included in the entry price
  • Fairground type rides – also included in the entry price.
  • Jumping pillows
  • Playgrounds
  • Inflatable slide
  • Soft play (currently closed)
  • Mini tractor rides

Masks – only to be work in the indoor parts

Toilets – they’re open and not very clean. Baby changing facilities are available.

Food – Takeaway only for now. I’m sure that will change in May. I did have a delicious buttermilk chicken burger, but it was overpriced. See their menu here.

Would we go again?

I’m sure we will at some point. Marsh Farm is a lovely day out, and I can’t believe how long it’s taken us actually to visit! Little miss left with a smile on her face which is all that matters really. They host several events throughout the year. You can see all their future events here.
