REVIEW: Gulliver’s Land Milton Keynes

Let this review be a reminder for you guys to check things out for yourself. If I listened to what others had to say, then I probably would’ve never visited Gulliver’s. I’m so glad we did because we did have a good time!

There are 4 locations. We visited the Milton Keynes location as it’s the closest to London.

Address

Livingstone Dr, Milton Keynes MK15 0DT

The nearest train station is Milton Keynes central. From there, it’s a 7-minute cab ride.

Price

Make sure you watch my IG stories as they often do deals, and I’ll always post them on here 🙂 I managed to get us tickets for £14.25 each. I’m glad I didn’t pay any more than that, lol.

What we enjoyed about our day.

There was little to no queues. I’m not sure if that’s a regular occurrence or not, but I was pretty happy about that! We managed to get on plenty of rides! Gulliver’s is ideal for kids, as long as they’re over 90cm tall as that is the minimum height for the majority of their rides.

The Buccaneer ride was our favourite! It’s a pirate ship that rocks from side to side and goes up very high! We had a blast.

The JCB area looked pretty cool but we didn’t manage to see it all because we had to rush to little miss’ gymnastic class.

What we didn’t like about our day.

The very first ride we went on was filthy! It had clearly been raining/snowing earlier, so there was a little puddle with dirt and dead bugs swimming in it. You would think a staff member would clean it up but nope! I let others go in front of us so they could clean it up with their bums 😂 I know how ridiculous it sounds, but it worked. I was pretty surprised no one else thought a yucky wet seat was a problem.

The rides are fun, but they’re in desperate need of an update. It was like being at a funfair rather than a theme park. As I said, we had fun, but it was nothing compared to Legoland and Chessington. I’m glad I paid the amount I did and not a penny more!

I think the staff could’ve done a bit more with enforcing social distancing. All the “2 meter apart” dots and signs clearly were not working today. I had to ask people to keep their distance from us while queuing.

Little miss did say a few of the rides were boring like ‘Jungle river ride” and I have to agree. There was honestly nothing fun about it. She also said that the rides were quite short and again I agree. The two “rollercoasters” that we went on only went around twice. I put “rollercoaster” in quotation marks because if you’re a thrill seeker then you will be very disappointed.

Need to know.

  • Free car and coach parking is available in front of the main entrance.
  • Toilets are open, and there are baby changing facilities.
  • Lockers are available at an additional cost. Personally, I wouldn’t use them. They looked a tight mess, lol
  • You can book short breaks. There are often deals on Wowcher.
  • Rides are based on height and not age. Check out this page to see what rides your little ones can go on.
  • Kids over the age of 3 will have to wear a mask on all rides. However, we went on 6 rides without anyone saying a thing. If you or your child is exempt, then do make sure you tell them this as soon as you arrive so they can give you a wristband.
  • There’s food available, but the queue was mental. Bring a packed lunch!!
  • There’s a dinosaur and farm park that is completely separate from the “theme park.” Tickets are from £6.50
  • There’s soft play that’s currently closed. It will probably reopen in May.
  • There a kiosks dotted around if you fancy a quick snack.

Would we go again?

Possibly! It was a good day out but not the best! If you want to do something fun with the kids and you don’t want to spend a fortune then I highly recommend this day out!

Thanks for the review lovely! We booked the break when you had it up on your stories …. now I’m thinking it may be too young for the boys (10) What do you think?
