REVIEW: We loved our stay at The Gate ApartHotel London

AD

We spent two lovely nights at The Gate ApartHotel London over the weekend. There are a few factors that made our staycation lovely!

The staff

I didn’t catch the receptionists name when we first checked in but she was so lovely to little miss and made her feel very welcome. All the members of staff had the same energy. Warm smiles and they were ready to answer any questions we had!

The food

We had breakfast and dinner during our stay, and it was just great. I have no complaints at all! The food came shortly after we ordered and tasted really good. Great portion sizes too!

The room

We stayed on the 20th floor, and the views were so lovely! There’s a lot of construction work going on in the area, so unfortunately you do get a view of that, but it’s easy to ignore when the sun sets.

We stayed in a family-accessible apartment, which had everything we needed to make our mini staycation as comfortable as possible.

• A bed and sofa bed

• Two TVs

• Table and chairs

• A fridge

• A washing machine

• A dishwasher

• Nespresso machine

• Cookware, cutlery and crockery

• Shower, toilet, towels and toiletries

• Wifi

The Lounge

We loved this part of the hotel. It’s where you’ll eat your food as well as a nice place to hang out if you don’t want to be in your room all day. We read a few books here and even played a game of Monopoly! There’s also an outdoor terrace, which I can imagine is such a vibe during the warmer months.

The location

The Gate ApartHotel London is a short walk from Algate East station, so we had no trouble getting there. It’s also close to a number of popular London attractions, including The Tower of London, Spitalfields Market, Sky Garden, Boom Battle Bar, and a load of restaurants.

I can honestly say it was our best London staycation to date. Even though we are Londoners, we absolutely love checking into a hotel in our city from time to time. It’s nice to get away and not have to worry about the cooking and cleaning for a bit.

There’s so much we could’ve done this weekend, but we stayed in and just relaxed! It was wonderful , and I recommend you all try it at lest once.

Head on over to their website to book your own fabulous staycation.
