REVIEW: The Little Explorers Package at 100 Queens Gate Hotel

AD|Press trip

We are all about staycations this year, so we were delighted when 100 Queens Gate invited us to check out their Little Explorers package. I’ve got all the info you’ll need to have the perfect London staycation.

Address: 100 Queen’s Gate, Kensington, London, SW7 5AG.

The nearest stations are South Kensington and Gloucester Road. Parking in this area is very pricey at £5.20 an hour. On Saturdays, parking is free after 1:30 pm. Parking is also free on Sunday’s and bank holidays.

Price: The price is based on the number of nights and the number of guest per room so you will have to check out the website and search in order to find an accurate price.

We had an awesome time at this hotel, When we first arrived, we couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the decor was. I think it is probably the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in, and if you have followed us for a while, then you know we have stayed in quite a few. Check-in was super speedy, and we quickly headed towards our very fancy rooms.

Our rooms were perfect and below is a list of everything we had:

  • Tea and coffee making facilities
  • An iron and ironing board
  • TVs in both
  • Bath and shower
  • Towels
  • Bathroom Amenties
  • The most comfortable beds
  • Dressing gowns
  • Slippers
  • A mini fridge
  • Umbrellas
  • Alarm clock
  • USB charge ports

I mean it when I say it was perfect. So as part of the Little Explorers package, little miss was given the cutest goodie bag. Inside it had a mini microscope from the natural history museum, a Tyrannosaurus rex woodcraft construction kit, an activity pack, a teddy bear, a notebook and colouring pencils.

We also had fruit and chocolate treats waiting for us! They pulled out all the stops to make us feel special!

Not long after we decided to walk to Kings Road to check out the Elephants (I’ll talk about that a little later). We then came back to have some dinner. I had the Beef Fillet, which was just fantastic and little miss just had fries. See the menu below and note that in this particular part, kids are not allowed there after 7 pm.

Your littles will be offered two vouchers to enjoy sweet treats as part of the Little Explorers package. Little miss decided to go with hot chocolate. She loves hot chocolate!

We had the best nights sleep. The pillows are amazing! Your face just sinks into them! I desperately want some for my own home 😆 Little miss had a whole bed to herself and I had one to myself too! We had interconnecting rooms. The doors come with safety latches so you know your kids will be 100% safe. I of course kept the door connecting our rooms open too .

The breakfast was fantastic. No breakfast bags!!! We could sit and eat, which was fab! I was also able to get the food myself (wearing a mask, of course). You can take your masks off when you’re sat down to eat. They have plenty of breakfast options.

If I could rate this hotel stay out of 10, I would rate it 11! I’m not even exaggerating. Everything was perfect!

What can you do in the area?

There is so much to do with your family in this area. Check out my suggestions below!

Science museum is perfect for kids but because of COVID you now have to prebook and tickets go pretty fast. Make sure you book your visit as soon as you book your hotel stay.

Natural history museum is great for kids that love dinosaurs. Again you must prebook your visit.

Science afternoon tea is the best afternoon tea for kids in my opinion and it’s minutes away from 100 Queens Gate.

V&A is a short walk from 100 Queens Gate. They currently have an Alice In Wonderland Exhibition that I really want to check out.

Cinema is always a good idea. We went to the VUE in Fulham to watch the new Peter Rabbit 2 movie. There’s also a Cineworld and an Everyman cinema nearby.

Princess Diana Memorial playground is one of the best playgrounds in London and it’s about 20 minutes from the hotel.

Kidzania is an indoor city for kids and it’s pretty great! It’s in Westfield which is a short drive/bus ride away.

Knot Churros is the place you need to visit if you love all things pink and Churros. We did their Dumbo afternoon tea before and it was fab. You can read the review here.

CoExistence is a beautiful herd of 50 handcrafted life-size elephants that are currently roaming Chelsea. You have until the 6th of June to check it out.

Carluccio’s is one of the many restaurants in South Kensington. We have a review on the blog if you would like to check it out. The food is fab! It’s lest than 10 minutes from the hotel.

Would we stay again?

It was hard leaving 😆 so we absolutely would. The whole stay was perfect. From the amazing pillows to the super friendly staff. It really was the perfect staycation. We have a few London hotel stays this year and it will be interesting to see if anything can top 100 Queens Gate!
