What a weekend! We had a super FUN staycation with PGL and I’m going to tell you the good and the not so good parts!
What is PGL?

Why did you choose Windmill Hill?
Windmill Hill is just 2 hours away from our house (South London) and I’m glad we chose this location. It was really lovely and the fun was non-stop.

If you visited a PGL location as a kid then you probably know it as ‘parents get lost’ but now they welcome families!
The good parts
PGL holidays are great as everything is included (all activities, accommodation, food + evening entertainment) and it’s all pre-arranged for you, so you don’t have the stress of booking time slots or missing out!
The activities are awesome! We did rock climbing, a sensory trail, archery, Zip wire, giant swing and riffle shooting. There are even more activities available.
Children under five go FREE on all PGL holidays.
We had hardly had any screen time which was brilliant! There are no TVs, you have to go to certain areas just to use the WiFi and my phone service wasn’t that great either! It was nice to kind of switch off!
The accommodation was basic, clean and comfortable. Ours was right by the car park which was as great.
The not so good parts
I have to be honest and say not all the meals were great so it’s a good idea to bring along some snacks just in case you don’t end up liking everything. I did like the fact they had different options each day but as I said not all the options tasted nice.
You will most likely have bugs in your accommodation but it’s expected. We had the same when we went glamping! It wasn’t a huge deal as it’s nothing a bit of bug spray can’t sort out.
The evening entertainment is too late in my opinion. It started at 9 pm and after a long day of fun adventures you’re most likely going to want to head back to your cabin and sleep but then you also don’t want to miss out on the evening fun.
It was overall a really pleasant experience and one I’m really excited to do all over again.
