REVIEW: We stayed at Richmond Hill Hotel

AD|Press trip

I think when people are looking for London hotels, they tend to go for central locations just because it’s closest to all the famous landmarks and attractions. Have you ever considered a hotel in area like Richmond?

We were kindly invited to stay the night at Richmond Hill Hotel and check out what the hotel had to offer. We were not disappointed.

📍144-148 Richmond Hill, Richmond TW10 6RW

It’s still pretty easy to get into central London from this hotel. Richmond station is less than 30 minutes away on foot and a very short bus ride away.

Parking is FREE for guests who book directly with the hotel.

I do think this is the perfect hotel to stay in if you’re looking for some peace and tranquillity. There are no fast cars zooming past, no drunk students on a night out and you’re right next to Richmond park so it’s the perfect opportunity to go on a family walk and see if you can spot some deers and other wildlife.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and our room was great, warm and we had the best bath I’ve ever seen! I wanted to take it home with me!

Inside our room we had

  • 2 single beds
  • 2 sofas
  • A safe
  • A TV
  • Yea and coffee making facilities
  • A mini fridge
  • Iron and ironing board
  • Hairdryer
  • Bathroom amenities
  • Walk-in shower
  • A huge and amazing bath!
  • A great view of the Thames

We had dinner and breakfast while we were here and the food was very pleasing. Kids eat FREE for any stays during October. Kids under 12 years old can enjoy a free 2-course meal when dining with an adult. The offer is valid for lunch and dinner only and excludes afternoon tea.

What can I do in the area?

Here are my top 3 FUN things to do in the area:

  • Richmond Park – you can see the amazing deers. It’s seconds away from the hotel.
  • Goboat Kingston – less than 20 minutes in the car. We’ve been to the Kingston location twice and I couldn’t recommend it enough!
  • Kew Gardens – less than 10 minutes in the car. They are always hosting great events!

I would definitely like to visit this hotel again for mainly two reasons, the staff were wonderful and very welcoming! They made little miss feel like a princess. My second reason is the location. I’ve never throughout about staying somewhere like Richmond before and I’m glad we did! It made a nice change from busy inner London! Super peaceful!
