5 Reasons Hilton Bankside is the Ultimate Family-Friendly Hotel in London

Our brief stay at the Hilton London Bankside hotel was delightful. Here are my top 5 reasons to consider experiencing it for yourself! Every moment was enjoyable, and I believe you would feel the same.

1. Location

📍2-8 Great Suffolk St, London SE1 0UG

Allow me to share why I believe the location is ideal.

  • Just a brief stroll from Southwark station, and given the hotel’s location within the congestion and ULEZ zone, I suggest opting for public transport to reach there.
  • Immersive Gamebox is within a 5-minute walk – an absolute blast!
  • Borough Market is approximately a 15-minute walk, an excellent spot for delicious food.
  • Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre is in close proximity, roughly a 10-minute walk away.
  • You’re conveniently close to Waterloo, offering attractions such as Sealife, Shrek’s Adventure, The London Eye, and The London Dungeons.

If proximity to central London attractions is what you seek, this hotel is a must-consider.

2. Kids Amenities

Our hotel room, as always, provided everything we needed – from a beautiful bathroom to a television.

What impressed me were the children’s amenities. The hotel offers a variety of kids’ amenities that can be requested.

Little miss received:

  • A kids bathrobe
  • Slippers
  • Fox pillow
  • Fox blanket
  • A kids book – “A Stormy Weather”
  • A goody bag to keep

The additional thoughtful details in our room brought her immense joy! Eagerly anticipating bedtime for a story, she cherished the goody bag, which is hers to keep. However, other amenities must remain upon checkout, though they are available for purchase if desired. I’ll provide the details below.

3. The Pool

Arguably the highlight of the staycation for me. I adore hotels with pools, and Hilton Bankside boasts a stunning indoor pool open from morning till 10 pm. It’s spacious, complete with a jacuzzi. If you’re visiting, remember to pack your swimwear!

4. The Food

Dinner at The Distillery Bankside and breakfast at OXBO Bankside Restaurant – both delightful experiences within the hotel’s on-site dining options.

If you’re a gin enthusiast, you’ll adore The Distillery with its array of options. What stood out was the diverse children’s menu – my little one opted for a classic burger and chips, but the variety of choices was wonderful to see.

Breakfast was fantastic! The buffet-style spread offered numerous options. Despite my little one’s pickiness, the chef graciously prepared pancakes right before us, and they turned out warm and fluffy – a big hit!

5. Warm welcome

The hotel staff was exceptional, not just with us but also with other families. Witnessing their playful interactions with all the kids was heartening. Good customer service, a cornerstone of success, is undeniably one of the reasons we plan to return in the near future

A quick reminder: the price varies based on your dates and the number of guests. Visit the website and experiment with dates to find the best rate for your family’s London staycation.

Additionally, remember that children’s amenities are available upon request, so be sure to request them in advance if you’re planning to book!

While our stay was complimentary, all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
