REVIEW: #KidsTakeCharge at Hilton London Metropole

This was our first time staying at a Hilton hotel and I was very impressed. We stayed one night to review the #KidsTakeCharge package and it’s a package I definitely think is worth checking out. The package includes an overnight stay, breakfast and an on-site chocolate treasure hunt.

Price: Prices for a Queen Superior Room with two double beds, start from £126 per night, with the Kids Take Charge package available for a £15 supplement per family.

Address: 225 Edgware Rd, London W2 1JU

The nearest station is Edgware Road.

They have a car park and it’s £29 for 24 hours. This hotel is not in the congestion charge zone!

We arrived just after 3 pm and were greeted by a lovely staff member that gave little miss a princess themed bizzi bag and a “My London Adventure Journal.” He even took a picture of her so she could stick it at the front of her Journal. It has a kid-friendly map of London that was easy for little miss to read. We went upstairs to our room to plan our little London staycation.

We of course only stayed the night so we couldn’t do everything on our list but further down I’m going to show you all the FUN things you can do near the hotel.

Fun fact: Hilton is the first major hotel chain to make it easier to book and confirm connecting rooms at the time of booking, which is great news for bigger families!

Our room.

LOVED IT! We stayed on the 14th floor and the view was lush!

Not only did we have two huge beds but we had a fully working kitchen and a living room area too! It was everything we expected and more!

We had a chocolate treasure hunt which was so cool. We went around the hotel room reading the clues to find the different pieces of chocolate. Little Miss had a blast and so did I! Who doesn’t love chocolate? 😆

The beds were so soft and so were the pillows. It made our sleep so comfortable. Even the sofa was amazing.

We had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable.

  • 2 beds
  • 2 TVs
  • Bath
  • Shower
  • Bathroom amenities
  • Plenty of towels
  • Tea and coffee making facilities
  • Sofa
  • Iron & ironing board
  • Hairdryer
  • Fridge
  • Microwave
  • Stove
  • Table and chairs

Breakfast was delicious! Little miss was extremely happy to be offered waffles! I was just glad we’re past the times of breakfast bags 😆 Breakfast was amazing and I have no complaints!

Paddington bear trail – yes there’s even a Paddington Bear trail! All you have to do is pick up a Pawprint trail from the PB shop. You’ll find the first statue inside the shop.

Hyde park/Kensington Gardens – Hyde Park is around 15 minutes away on foot and it’s awesome! If you’re already thinking about Christmas then this is definitely the hotel to book if you plan to visit Winter Wonderland! It’s so close by! If not then you can check out Kensington Gardens for the Princess Diana memorial playground and fountains.

London zoo – London Zoo is awesome! It’s around a 45 minute walk from the hotel or 30 minutes on the bus. It’s great for all ages. Read our review here.
