REVIEW: The Beach at Bluewater

Another great place we go to every year! The beach opened up yesterday and will be open every day until Sunday the 6th of September 2020. It’s pretty much the same as The Beach Brent Cross, so I’ll keep this post quite short!

Address.

Bluewater, Dartford, Greenhithe DA9 9ST. Parking is FREE all day yay 😁

How much?

Entry is only £2.70 per person when booked online or £3 in the door! You can purchase ride tokens to use on the rides at The Beach Bluewater. Get 25 tokens for £20 (regular price £1.20 per token). Tickets must be purchased at least the day before your visit.

They have some cool events on for the kids over the next couple of weeks. From Magic shows to a Teddy bears picnic. You can see a full list of events here.

How was our day?

Pretty fantastic! We got there at opening, which is 11am, and it was so quiet! It felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. I took advantage of the 25 tokens for £20 offer online, and little miss went on many rides by herself. Most kids rides were only two tokens.

The beach was lovely as always! Like I mentioned before it was pretty empty, so we had a nice choice of deck chairs and even the pool to ourselves at one point.

COVID precautions

  • Hand sanitiser everywhere.
  • Signs encouraging people to keep apart.
  • A staff member by the pool controlling numbers. Note that the pool is also fenced off, unlike previous years.

There’s food and toilets available. We bought food from M&S which is a short walk away. We still have some ride tokens left, so we’re definitely going to go back!
