REVIEW: The Beach at Brent Cross

We visit this amazing beach every year and was hoping it would make a comeback!

Due to Covid-19, they have had to make some changes to ensure all visitors are safe. They have all the information you need to know on the website here.

It’s super cheap to get in! They advise you to book online for a slight discount and for them to keep tabs on numbers. It’s not compulsory to book online, but it makes sense to.

Online price

It will be £4 on the door! You can also book ride tokens online. If you buy 25 Ride Tokens ONLINE, you save £5 as it will cost you £20.00. Normal price is £1.20 per token.

Opening times are below.

Arriving

There’s a hand washing station just as you enter. You’ll most likely have to queue, but it will probably go quickly! You’ll get your tickets scanned if you prebooked and also have your bag checked! There are no temp checks here!

The rides.

There are plenty of rides for all ages! Here’s what little miss went on.

  • Jumbos
  • Donkey ride
  • Racing coaster
  • Double Decker carousel
  • Funhouse
  • Dune buggies.

She’s just over 1 meter, and she could do a few on her own.

Here’s a full list of rides they have available.

You are to use hand sanitiser before each ride you get on. There’s hand sanitiser everywhere, so there’s no excuse!

Toilets

They’re are available and clean! You can never be too careful, so like I always say, bring your own cleaning bits!

The food.

There are a few places you can grab some food, but yes it’s a little pricy. We grabbed some lunch from M&S, which is just opposite The Beach at Brent Cross shopping centre. There’s also a Tesco superstore a short car ride away!

The beach.

Just fabulous. It feels like you’re somewhere exotic! No seaweed 😆 just beautiful white sand! Plenty of deck chairs too! Today wasn’t busy at all, but I can totally see it getting busy so just arrive early if you can!

The pool now has a barrier around it so that they can control numbers. Children are to be supervised by parents/guardians within the barriers. When it gets busy they’ll let in a few kids at a time and give them 10 mins to splash around before they need to leave for the next bunch of kids to have a go.

Address

Brent Cross Shopping Centre, London, NW4 3FP Parking is FREE!

Did we have a good day?

We always do 🙂 There’s a reason we come back every year! Even with social distancing measures in place, we still managed to have a fantastic time. Brent Cross beach is excellent and a nice alternative for those who can’t get around to actual beaches!

Did you know there’s also one in Bluewater that will open up next week Saturday? Make sure you come back to the blog to see our review of that! 💋

Looks great. Is there anything we should specifically pack with us for the kids?
