The BeWILDerwood story.

BeWILDerwood is a magical adventure park with the most amazing treehouse and super cool creatures! Throughout your day you’ll learn all about the Twiggles and Bogglers. It’s all based on the books and poems written by Tom Bolfed. During the boat ride (I’ll talk about that a little further down) you’ll get to hear about some of the characters, and if you keep your eyes peeled you’ll be able to see where they live! It’s all very well thought out, and it’s an amazing way to spark your little one’s imagination!

Our day

We got there around 9:30 am, which was great (it doesn’t open until 10 am) because we got a lovely parking space right by the entrance.

It was quick and easy to get it. We end to a booth where we had a staff member give us our wristbands and she also told us to pick up a map and a booklet telling us about the COVID precautions in place.

We headed straight towards the boat ride as we were told that there could only be one family per boat due to social distancing. The boat ride was fun but a little short, but there’s no reason why you can’t do it more than once.

We then went on to check out pretty much every single area on the map, and it was just the most fantastic day from the Slippery Slopes to the Sky Maze it was just so well thought out and I just can’t recommend this place enough.

Little miss’ favourite part was the tricky tunnels. At first, she was a bit scared, but she saw all the big kids doing it, she copied, and she couldn’t get enough. I had to pretty much pull her off just to eat some lunch 😆

I think my favourite part was the Sky Maze. We got lost so many times, but it was fun! We eventually found the nest, and we couldn’t believe how silly we were! It was right in front of our eyes!

I must say I was impressed with how they cater for all ages. There’s even a lovely part specially designed for those with disabilities. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that before . I also noticed in the toilets they had a sign letting you know they have adult changing mats available on request 👏🏽

There’s even a breastfeeding room. They’ve done everything they can to cater to everyone. Not many places can say they do that!

I can’t believe how much we did in one day. We built a den, watched two storytelling sessions and more! It’s such a fabulous family day out!!

Food

I was really surprised at how reasonably priced the food was. I had a really good hotdog, and I mean so good that I almost bought a second one. 😆 There are lots of places to sit down and eat too; it’s really great.

COVID precautions

-If the staff weren’t being super helpful and friendly, then they were cleaning! It was amazing to see how much effort they’ve put into making everything safe and clean!

-There’s hand sanitiser everywhere and plenty of toilets where you can go and wash your hands.

-It’s kind of impossible for kids to keep their distance at a place like this, but all the adults were, which was great. Maybe all the sensible people live in Norfolk? 😆

-Unfortunately, they are not currently doing any face painting.

Would we go again?

Yes! And that’s a huge YES! We both had an amazing time! It’s great when you’re a parent, you pay for something like this and you can actually take part. It’s worth every penny, and we are totally going to come back as paying customers for Halloween. So worth the 3-hour drive from London!
