REVIEW: Chessington With The Sun Superdays

Don’t you just love a bargain? We had 2 “FREE” tickets to Chessington World of Adventures thanks to The Sun Superdays. I’ve explained how it works here.

Address: Leatherhead Rd, Chessington KT9 2NE

Parking is £4 for the day. Prebook online to save yourself some time. It’s very easy to get to by public transport too! The nearest train station is Chessington South and it’s a 10 minute walk from there.

Chessington is a brilliant theme park for kids, especially those five and under. They’re even doing a parent and toddler ticket that I will talk about further down

There is so much to do at Chessington, so it would make this blog post super long, so I’m going to talk about our favourite parts.

Sealife – who doesn’t love seeing Nemo and Dory? 😆 It’s impressive seeing all the different species. Maybe it’s just me, but I also find Sealife so calming. I absolutely love it!

Gruffalo River Ride Adventure – if you love the Gruffalo, then you’re going to want to check this out. It is pretty awesome! There is water involved very realistic Gruffalo characters add more. You might get a little wet, so be prepared.

Scorpion Express – a great rollercoaster for kids 0.9m and over! Not too scary and lots of fun!

Zoo – The zoo is fab here. Not as big as London Zoo, but still pretty great. You can check out the likes of Gorillas, Giraffes, Zebras, Lions and more!

Special events – Chessington put on a few different events throughout the year. Make sure you check out PJ Masks coming to sealife on June 7th. Check out the other events here.

What rides are suitable for my kids?

A question I get often. You need to check out the app or the website and check each individual rides height requirements.

The app.

The app is pretty great and worth downloading just before your visit. You can plan and tick off each ride you’ve been on, you can check out the interactive map of the park and you can even check ride queue times!

Food options.

I always thought the food was rubbish at Chessington. Typical horrid theme park food. That’s until they opened up a brand new Tortilla!! My absolute favourite. I’m sad to say I was disappointed in Tortilla. It tasted nothing like what I’m used to, and I felt like it was a waste of money. You don’t get the option to chose what kind of burrito you want as they’re already wrapped up. Theme park food is pants to bring a picnic!

There is a Lidl around 5 minutes away so it would be a good does to stop there before you enjoy your day out.

Other ways to save money at Chessington.

  • Parent and Toddler ticket – Both you & your little one aged 4 and under** can go to Chessington for just £25, available on weekdays during term times
