This trip was part of a hosted press trip with British Airways Holidays and Walt Disney World Resort, giving me the chance to experience what a Walt Disney World holiday with British Airways Holidays is actually like from start to finish.
From flying British Airways from London Gatwick to Orlando and experiencing the airport lounge, to the hotel, Walt Disney World parks and everything I got up to along the way, this blog covers the full experience as well as plenty of tips that are worth knowing if you’re planning your own Walt Disney World holiday from the UK.
British Airways Holidays makes it really easy to put together a Walt Disney World holiday because you can book your flights, hotel and park tickets together in one package, with the option to add extras such as car hire and transfers too.
For families planning a Walt Disney World holiday from the UK, having everything booked together can definitely make organising such a big trip feel that little bit easier.
Flying from London Gatwick with British Airways
Our trip started at London Gatwick, where we checked in for our British Airways flight to Orlando.
Check in was super easy and straightforward. One thing that’s worth knowing if you are travelling with children is that British Airways offers FREE Skyflyers activity packs for kids.
My daughter wasn’t with me on this particular trip, but we’ve flown with British Airways quite a few times in the past and she’s picked up the Skyflyers packs before. They’re a really nice little freebie to keep kids entertained while travelling, so definitely ask a member of British Airways staff at the airport about them when you check in.
Once we had checked in and dropped off our luggage, we headed through security as normal before making our way to the British Airways Lounge.
British Airways Lounge at London Gatwick
This was such a lovely way to start our journey.
British Airways has two lounges at Gatwick’s South Terminal, the Club Lounge and First Lounge. They’re both located after security on the Upper Mezzanine level, so once you’re through security you can head up and relax before your flight.
Access depends on things such as the cabin you’re travelling in or your British Airways or oneworld status, so it’s worth checking whether lounge access is included before you travel.
We visited the British Airways Club Lounge and I was really impressed with it.

There are plenty of places to sit and relax while you wait for your flight, plus lots of food and snacks available throughout the lounge. There were also plenty of drinks to choose from, including soft drinks such as Coke and Fanta, as well as hot drinks.
If you have allergies or dietary requirements, I would definitely recommend speaking to a member of staff. I have an allergy, so I asked what I could eat and someone brought over a booklet and went through everything with me, showing me what was and wasn’t suitable. It made things so much easier because I wasn’t having to guess.
The lounge is also really family friendly. There’s a separate area for children with a TV, video games, table football and other things for them to play with. I thought this was such a good idea, especially when you’re about to get on a long haul flight and want to keep the kids entertained beforehand.

There are departure screens inside the lounge too, so you can keep an eye on your flight and know when it’s time to head to the gate.
I’d definitely recommend checking out the lounge if you have access. It made the whole airport experience feel much more relaxed and was a really nice way to start the trip.
Flying British Airways from London Gatwick to Orlando
Next up was our British Airways flight from London Gatwick to Orlando.
When you’re doing a long haul flight, having onboard entertainment makes such a difference. There’s a good choice of films, TV programmes and other entertainment available, and there’s no additional charge to use it.
Headphones are provided onboard and you also get a blanket, so you don’t necessarily need to bring your own unless you prefer to.
Food and drinks are also served during the flight and are included, which is always handy on such a long journey.

If you want to stay connected while you’re flying, WiFi is available on selected British Airways aircraft for an additional cost. There are different options available depending on what you want to use it for, so you can decide whether it’s worth purchasing once onboard.
There are also different cabins and seating options available, so it’s worth having a look at what’s available when booking and deciding what works best for you and your budget.
You can pay to choose particular seats in advance if you want to know exactly where you’ll be sitting. Alternatively, online check in opens 24 hours before your flight and you can have your seats allocated then.
Overall, getting from London Gatwick to Orlando was a really easy start to the trip. From checking in and relaxing in the British Airways Lounge to getting settled onboard for the flight, everything felt really straightforward.
Where I Stayed: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
For my Walt Disney World stay, I stayed at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, one of Walt Disney World’s Deluxe Resort hotels and probably one of the most iconic places you can stay at Disney World.
I’m not going to pretend this is one of the cheaper Disney hotels because it definitely isn’t! The Grand Floridian is at the more expensive end when it comes to Walt Disney World accommodation, but as soon as I arrived, I could definitely see why it comes with the price tag that it does.
The whole resort is absolutely stunning. Think Victorian elegance mixed with modern luxury and, of course, plenty of Disney magic. It sits right beside Seven Seas Lagoon, with Magic Kingdom just across the water, and the whole place really does feel special from the moment you walk in.
One of the biggest selling points for me though has to be the location.
Getting to Magic Kingdom from Disney’s Grand Floridian
If Magic Kingdom is going to be a big part of your Walt Disney World holiday, the location of the Grand Floridian is SO convenient.
The complimentary Resort Monorail stops right at the Grand Floridian and Magic Kingdom is just one stop away. You can also use the monorail to get to EPCOT with a transfer at the Transportation and Ticket Center.
You don’t even have to use the monorail to get to Magic Kingdom. There’s a scenic walking path connecting Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to Magic Kingdom which is less than one mile, or you can take a water taxi across Seven Seas Lagoon.
For other parts of Walt Disney World, complimentary Disney transportation is available too, including bus services to destinations such as Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs.
This is probably one of the biggest benefits I noticed about staying on Disney property.
I’ve stayed off property in Orlando before and have stayed at some really lovely hotels that I would absolutely recommend. Staying outside Walt Disney World can also work out considerably cheaper, so there are definitely pros and cons to both.
However, the convenience of staying on Disney property is hard to beat.
You don’t necessarily have to spend 12 hours in a theme park because you’re worried about getting backwards and forwards. You can spend the morning in the park, head back to your Disney Resort in the afternoon, have a nap, chill by the pool, shower and freshen up, and then head back out again for the evening.
When you stay off property, unless your hotel provides suitable transportation, you may need to pay for an Uber, Lyft or taxi each time you want to go backwards and forwards. Those journeys can quickly add up.
When you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel, Disney’s complimentary transportation makes doing this so much easier.
My Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
I stayed in the Sugar Loaf building on the second floor and I absolutely loved my room.
One of my favourite things was actually the balcony because at night I could see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from it. Imagine coming back after a full day at Walt Disney World, getting into your pyjamas and then watching the fireworks from your balcony. Loved it!
Of course, the view you get will depend on the room category and location of your room, so don’t assume every room at the Grand Floridian will have the same view.
If having a view of Magic Kingdom is really important to you, the Grand Floridian does have rooms sold specifically with a Theme Park View. You can make room requests at Disney Resort hotels, but requests aren’t guaranteed, so I would look carefully at the different room categories available when you book rather than relying on a request.

The room itself was gorgeous, but I need to talk about the bed!
After doing SO much walking around Walt Disney World every day, getting into that bed at night was honestly a highlight in itself. The bed and pillows were ridiculously comfortable and even the robes were SO comfortable. After a full Disney day, coming back, having a shower, putting on one of those robes and getting into bed was bliss.
My room also had a beverage cooler, tea and coffee making facilities, a TV, safe and plenty of storage. I also had drinks in my cooler during my stay, which was a nice extra.
The bathroom was gorgeous too. I loved the mirror and the whole space felt really luxurious. There was a shower, toilet, fresh towels and everything I needed.

And obviously this is Disney, so even when you’re back in your room you can still get your Disney fix. The TV had plenty of Disney content, which was perfect for those moments when I finally wanted to put my feet up and relax.
Hey Disney! In Your Resort Room
Another fun little feature when staying at a Disney Resort hotel is “Hey Disney!”, Disney’s optional in room voice assistant.
You can use it for practical things such as requesting more towels, but there are also lots of fun Disney touches. You can get a wake up message from Mickey Mouse and friends, hear jokes and stories, play Disney trivia and enjoy interactive experiences featuring Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and The Muppets.
It’s complimentary and completely optional, but I think it’s such a cute extra, especially if you’re staying with kids.
Swimming Pools at Disney’s Grand Floridian
If you want a bit of downtime away from the parks, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa also has swimming pools where you can relax and enjoy some resort time.
I definitely recommend factoring in some time to actually enjoy your hotel if you can. Walt Disney World involves A LOT of walking, so even spending a few hours relaxing by the pool before heading back out can be very welcome.

Dining at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
There are plenty of places to eat at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, whether you want something quick and casual, a sit down meal or something a little more special.
One experience I really enjoyed was the Character Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. While having breakfast, I got to meet Cinderella, Princess Tiana, Mirabel and Aladdin, which was such a fun experience and a great way to meet several Disney characters while enjoying your food.

The breakfast itself was really good too! There was loads to choose from, including Mickey waffles, Eggs Benedict, potatoes and plenty of other breakfast options. They even had gummy bears!
I definitely think Character Dining is worth looking into if you’re visiting Walt Disney World with kids, or even if you’re a big Disney fan yourself. You get breakfast and character interactions all in one experience, plus some really lovely photo opportunities.
Using the My Disney Experience App During Your Stay
If you’re planning a Walt Disney World holiday, definitely download the My Disney Experience app because you will probably end up using it A LOT.
If you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can use the app to start the check in process, see your room number once it’s ready and even unlock your hotel room using your phone.
You can also use it throughout your Walt Disney World holiday to manage and check your plans, see park opening times, get directions, look at transportation options, mobile order food and drinks and view your Disney PhotoPass photos.
It’s basically one of those apps you’re going to want on your phone before you even arrive.
Lightning Lane Benefits for Disney Resort Guests
Another benefit worth knowing about if you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel is the earlier Lightning Lane planning window.
Eligible Disney Resort hotel guests can purchase Lightning Lane passes and choose experiences up to seven days before the first day of their Resort stay, for the length of their stay up to 14 days.
This can be really useful if there are certain popular Walt Disney World rides and attractions that are high on your list.
Early Theme Park Entry
Another BIG perk of staying at a Disney Resort hotel is Early Theme Park Entry.
Disney Resort hotel guests can enter Walt Disney World theme parks 30 minutes before the parks officially open on eligible days.
Thirty minutes might not sound like loads, but at Walt Disney World it can make a difference, especially if you have a plan and know which attraction you want to head to first.
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours
Because Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a Deluxe Resort, there’s another potential perk too.
Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts and other eligible hotels can take advantage of Extended Evening Theme Park Hours on selected nights at selected parks.
This gives eligible guests additional time in the parks after normal closing, which can be a really nice bonus and another reason to look at all the benefits included when comparing the cost of staying on and off Disney property.
Other Benefits of Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel
There are lots of little things that can make staying at a Disney Resort feel different from staying elsewhere in Orlando.
You’re surrounded by Disney from the moment you wake up until you go to bed, but for me, the biggest advantage is still convenience.
You have complimentary Disney transportation around Walt Disney World, Early Theme Park Entry, an earlier Lightning Lane planning window and, depending on the Disney Resort you choose, additional benefits and activities.
Walt Disney World is HUGE, and I think it’s easy to underestimate just how much time you can spend travelling between places. Being able to get back to your hotel relatively easily when you’re tired makes such a difference.
Is Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Worth It?
Is Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa cheap? Absolutely not!
It’s definitely one of the pricier Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and whether it’s worth paying the extra will completely depend on your budget and what you want from your Disney holiday.
I’ve stayed off property in Orlando before and there are some absolutely lovely hotels that I would happily recommend, particularly if keeping accommodation costs down is a priority.

But after staying at the Grand Floridian, I can absolutely see the appeal of staying on Disney property too.
For me, it’s the combination of the location, complimentary Disney transportation, being so close to Magic Kingdom, the beautiful surroundings, the gorgeous rooms and those extra Disney Resort benefits.
And honestly, after walking around Walt Disney World all day, being able to get back to the Grand Floridian, put on that ridiculously comfortable robe and climb into THAT bed was a highlight in itself!
Visiting the Walt Disney World Theme Parks
Now for the main reason most of us are going to Orlando in the first place, Walt Disney World!
There are four main Walt Disney World theme parks to explore: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
One thing I will say is DO NOT try to do absolutely everything in one day. Walt Disney World is huge and there is so much to see and do. I think you’ll enjoy it so much more if you have enough time to actually take everything in rather than constantly rushing from one attraction to another.

There are rides for all different ages and thrill levels too. You definitely don’t need to be someone who loves huge rollercoasters to enjoy Walt Disney World. There are gentle boat rides, shows, character experiences, thrill rides, parades, nighttime spectaculars and so much more.
I would also try to experience at least one of the parks after dark. Walt Disney World feels completely different at night and some of my favourite moments have been watching the nighttime shows and fireworks.
Before You Travel to Orlando: Don’t Forget Your ESTA
If you’re travelling to the USA from the UK under the Visa Waiver Program, one of the most important things to sort out before you travel is your ESTA.
An ESTA is an Electronic System for Travel Authorization rather than a visa, and you need an approved ESTA before travelling to the USA under the Visa Waiver Program.
At the time of writing, the official ESTA application costs $40.27 per person.
One thing that catches people out is renewing their passport.
If you already have an ESTA that looks like it’s still valid but you’ve since been issued a new passport, you MUST apply for a new ESTA. Your ESTA is connected to the passport you applied with, so you can’t simply continue using the old one with your new passport.
An ESTA will generally be valid for two years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.
I would definitely get this sorted when you book your trip rather than leaving it until the last minute. Also make sure you’re applying through the official US Government ESTA website because there are third party websites that can charge additional fees.
Getting from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World is around a 30 minute drive from Orlando International Airport, although obviously this can vary depending on traffic and exactly where you’re staying.
There are several ways to get from the airport to Walt Disney World including car hire, taxis, Uber or Lyft, shuttle services and motorcoach services!
If you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel, once you arrive at Walt Disney World you can then make use of Disney’s complimentary transportation around the Resort.
UK Exclusive Disney Magic Tickets
This is a BIG one to know if you’re travelling from the UK or Ireland.
Disney offers 7 Day and 14 Day Disney Magic Tickets exclusively for UK and Ireland guests and these need to be purchased before you travel.
They include access to all four Walt Disney World theme parks as well as Disney Water Park access, subject to which water park is open.
You also get Park Hopper included, meaning you can visit more than one theme park on the same day during opening hours.

Memory Maker is another brilliant inclusion. This gives you access to unlimited digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos during the relevant ticket window, so when you see those Disney photographers around the parks, USE THEM!
It means everyone can actually be in the family photo rather than someone always being stuck behind the camera.
There are some other extras included with Disney Magic Tickets too, including access to Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, subject to availability and tee time requirements, and miniature golf.
If you’re booking your Walt Disney World holiday through British Airways Holidays, Disney Magic Tickets can be included as part of your package, which makes it easier to have your flights, accommodation and park tickets together.
2027 Free Dining & Drinks with British Airways Holidays
If you’re thinking about booking Walt Disney World for 2027, this is definitely an offer worth looking at.
British Airways Holidays currently has a Walt Disney World Free Dining & Drinks offer for selected 2027 holidays.
The offer includes a Disney 14 Day Magic Ticket for the price of a 7 Day Magic Ticket, giving you much more time to experience Walt Disney World without trying to cram everything into a week.
Depending on the eligible Disney Resort you book, a qualifying Disney Dining Plan is also included.
At the time of writing, the offer needs to be booked by 4 November 2026 and is available for selected Disney Resort hotel and ticket packages and selected 2027 arrival dates. There are minimum stay requirements and other terms and conditions, so definitely check the full offer for your particular dates before booking.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
Don’t forget that Walt Disney World isn’t just about the four main theme parks!
I visited Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park during this trip and it was fantastic.
The whole water park has this brilliant snowy ski resort theme, which feels slightly crazy when you’re standing in the Florida sunshine in your swimming costume!
There’s a mixture of attractions depending on how adventurous you’re feeling. You’ll find big waterslides, family raft rides, a wave pool, a lazy river and areas aimed at younger guests, so you definitely don’t have to spend the whole day throwing yourself down huge slides.

One of the great things for UK and Ireland visitors is that Disney Water Park admission is included with eligible Disney Magic Tickets. This gives you admission to Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, whichever is open during your visit.
I think adding a water park day into your Walt Disney World itinerary is such a good idea, especially if you’re staying for 7 or 14 days. It gives you a completely different type of Disney day and can be a nice break between several full on theme park days.
Water park operations can change because of refurbishment, weather and seasonal closures, so always check which Disney Water Park is operating during your dates.
Rider Switch at Walt Disney World
If you’re travelling with younger children, Rider Switch is something you NEED to know about.
Basically, it means the adults in your group don’t necessarily have to miss an attraction because one child is too small to ride or someone in the group isn’t able or doesn’t want to ride and cannot wait outside the queue alone.
Your whole group should go to the attraction entrance first and tell a Cast Member that you want to use Rider Switch.

Your group is then split into two parties. The first group rides while the other waits outside with the person who isn’t riding. Once the first group has finished, the eligible person or people from the second group can return and ride without having to wait in the standard queue all over again.
Even better, if the second group only has one person riding, another eligible person may be able to ride again with them.
Rider Switch is available on lots of popular Walt Disney World attractions across Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, so definitely ask a Cast Member if you think you might need it.
Do You Need a Disney MagicBand?
MagicBands are one of those things that you absolutely do NOT need to have a Walt Disney World holiday, but I personally think they make things so much easier.
A MagicBand is basically a wearable wristband that can be linked to your Disney account. Depending on your setup and entitlements, you can use it for things such as entering the theme parks, accessing Lightning Lane entrances, linking Disney PhotoPass photos and unlocking your Disney Resort hotel room.
MagicBand+ also has interactive features around Walt Disney World and can light up and interact with certain nighttime entertainment.
And there are SO many designs to choose from! Disney characters, films, parks and limited edition designs mean they also make a really nice souvenir to take home afterwards.
Another reason I like them is that MagicBand+ can also be used as a DisneyBand+ on selected Disney Cruise Line sailings. So if you’re combining Walt Disney World with a Disney Cruise, you may be able to use the same band for both.
Again, it’s not a necessity. You can absolutely do Disney without one. I just find having everything sitting on my wrist incredibly convenient.
Download the My Disney Experience App
If you’re going to Walt Disney World, download the My Disney Experience app before you travel.
You’re going to use it A LOT.
You can check attraction wait times, park opening hours, maps, dining reservations, transport information and your plans all in one place.
You can also use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering at participating quick service restaurants, which I definitely recommend. Rather than joining another queue when everyone is hungry, you can order through the app and collect your food when it’s ready.
If you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel, there are even more features available, including online check in and the ability to unlock your room with your phone.

Lightning Lane
Lightning Lane is another thing worth researching before you travel, particularly if there are certain popular attractions that you REALLY want to experience.
If you’re staying at an eligible Disney Resort hotel, you get an earlier opportunity to purchase Lightning Lane passes and make eligible selections, beginning up to seven days before the first day of your Resort stay.
My biggest advice would be to look at the rides you really want to do before you arrive. Walt Disney World is not somewhere I would recommend turning up with absolutely no idea what attractions are available, especially if this is your first visit.
You don’t need to plan every minute of every day, but having a rough list of your must do attractions makes things so much easier.
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
If you’re visiting Walt Disney World around Halloween, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is something I definitely recommend.
It does cost extra because it’s a separately ticketed event at Magic Kingdom, so your normal park ticket alone won’t get you into the party.
But I had SO much fun!
You can trick or treat around Magic Kingdom and you will leave with a ridiculous amount of sweets and chocolate. There are also special Disney character appearances, including characters dressed in Halloween outfits and interactions you wouldn’t necessarily see during a normal park day.
Magic Kingdom looks SO good in the dark during the party too. The Halloween decorations, lighting and atmosphere completely transform the park.
And then there’s Mickey’s Boo To You Halloween Parade.
I genuinely think this might be one of the best Disney parades ever. It’s funny, spooky without being ridiculously scary and just SO much fun to watch. You’ve got the Headless Horseman, Haunted Mansion characters, Disney villains and Disney favourites in Halloween costumes.

There’s also special Halloween entertainment and fireworks during the evening.
For 2026, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party takes place on selected nights between 7 August and 31 October and runs from 7pm until midnight, although party ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom from 4pm.
If your Walt Disney World dates fall during the Halloween season, I would absolutely look into it.
Pack Ponchos!
Florida rain is something else.
When it rains, it can REALLY rain, so I always recommend packing ponchos. They barely take up any room in your bag and they can genuinely be the difference between carrying on with your day relatively dry and walking around Walt Disney World absolutely soaked.
Shoe covers can also be really handy because walking around all day in wet trainers is NOT fun.
And ponchos aren’t just useful when it rains. Keep them in your park bag for the water rides too!
Ear Defenders for Children
If your child is sensitive to loud noises, I would definitely pack a pair of ear defenders.
The Walt Disney World fireworks and nighttime spectaculars are absolutely beautiful, but they can be LOUD.
Having ear defenders means children who struggle with loud bangs can hopefully still enjoy the experience without becoming overwhelmed.
They can also be useful for certain attractions and shows, so they’re one of those things that are worth throwing into your park bag even if you don’t end up needing them.
Wear Comfortable Shoes
This sounds obvious but PLEASE wear comfortable shoes.
You will walk A LOT at Walt Disney World.
This is not the holiday for breaking in a brand new pair of trainers. Take comfortable trainers or walking shoes that you already know you can wear for hours without getting blisters.
Your feet will thank you!

Florida Heat Essentials
Florida can get incredibly hot, so there are a few things I would always have in my park bag.
Sunscreen is an absolute must, as is a refillable water bottle. You can ask for complimentary cups of ice water at eligible quick service locations around Walt Disney World, so you don’t necessarily need to keep buying bottles of water all day.
I would also recommend a portable fan, especially if you’re travelling with children. Standing in a queue in the Florida heat feels very different when you’ve got a little fan pointed at your face!
A portable charger is another must for me. You’re going to use your phone constantly for the My Disney Experience app, photos, videos, maps and checking wait times, so the last thing you want is your battery dying halfway through the day.
Don’t Skip the Nighttime Shows
It can be tempting to leave the parks once everyone starts getting tired, but I would try to stay for at least a couple of the nighttime spectaculars during your holiday.
Some of Walt Disney World’s most memorable moments happen after dark.
There are fireworks, projections and nighttime entertainment across the Resort, including shows such as Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Luminous The Symphony of Us at EPCOT.
You don’t necessarily have to do a nighttime show every single night, especially with younger children, but I definitely wouldn’t travel all the way to Walt Disney World and miss them completely.
Build Rest Time Into Your Walt Disney World Holiday
This is probably one of my biggest tips.
REST!
You do not have to be in a theme park from opening until closing every single day to get your money’s worth.
If you’re staying for 7 or 14 days, use that time.
Have a slower morning. Spend some time at the pool. Visit a water park. Go back to your hotel for a nap. Have a nice meal. Then head back into a park later.
This is another reason I really appreciated staying at a Disney Resort hotel. Being able to use complimentary Disney transportation to head back to the hotel and then return to the parks later makes taking a break much easier.

Finish Your Walt Disney World Holiday at Disney Springs
Disney Springs is Walt Disney World’s shopping, dining and entertainment district and you don’t need a theme park admission ticket to visit.
My tip would actually be to leave Disney Springs until towards the end of your holiday.
There is SO much shopping there, so it’s a great opportunity to pick up any final Disney merchandise you’ve been thinking about before you go home.
There’s the huge World of Disney store as well as DisneyStyle and Marketplace Co Op, alongside loads of familiar brands including UNIQLO, Sephora and lululemon.
There are also plenty of places to eat and drink, so it’s a really nice way to finish a Walt Disney World holiday without spending another full day rushing around a theme park.
If you have an evening flight home, you could even consider spending part of your final day here before heading to the airport.
Booking Walt Disney World with British Airways Holidays
One thing that can feel overwhelming about booking Walt Disney World for the first time is just how many different things there are to organise.
Flights, hotels, Disney tickets, transport, dining, Lightning Lane and everything else can look like A LOT when you first start researching.
Booking a Walt Disney World package through British Airways Holidays gives you the option of putting your British Airways flights, hotel and Disney park tickets together, rather than having to book everything separately.
And if you’re looking at travelling in 2027, the current Free Dining & Drinks offer is definitely worth checking before you book.

For selected 2027 Walt Disney World Resort holidays booked by 4 November 2026, you can get Free Dining & Drinks plus a Disney 14 Day Magic Ticket for the price of a 7 Day Magic Ticket.
Obviously check the full terms and conditions, eligible hotels and your particular travel dates before booking because the offer isn’t available for every single date or room type.
My Biggest Walt Disney World Tip for Families
Don’t put pressure on yourself to do EVERYTHING.
Walt Disney World is absolutely huge and there will always be another ride, restaurant, character or experience you could have squeezed in.
Choose the things that matter most to your family, have a rough plan, use the My Disney Experience app and then actually enjoy being there.
Some of my favourite Disney memories aren’t necessarily from racing from one big ride to another. Sometimes it’s watching the fireworks, meeting a character, discovering something you weren’t expecting or simply stopping and taking everything in.
You’ve travelled all the way to Florida to enjoy Walt Disney World, so make sure you actually give yourself time to enjoy it!
