If you’re looking for one of the best family theme parks in the UK, Paultons Park should be at the very top of your list. Home to the UK’s only Peppa Pig World, this award winning attraction in Hampshire is much more than just a toddler theme park. With thrilling roller coasters, beautifully themed lands, splash parks, animals and attractions for every age, it’s one of those rare places where the whole family can have an amazing day out.
We’ve visited Paultons Park several times over the years, and it continues to impress us every single time. Whether we’ve visited during weekends or the school holidays, we’ve never experienced the huge queues you often expect at popular UK theme parks. Combined with free parking and excellent value for money, it’s easy to see why we keep coming back.
Ticket Prices
Tickets start from £41.
Children under 1 metre tall receive FREE entry and don’t require a ticket.
If you’re planning to stay for two days, you’ll receive 50% off your second day when you book both days together.
Free Parking Makes a Huge Difference
One of the things I appreciate most about Paultons Park is that parking is completely FREE.
It might not sound like a big deal, but it can save families a surprising amount of money.
We recently visited Chessington World of Adventures and, because I forgot to pre book parking, I ended up paying £13 on the day. I remember when my daughter was much younger that parking there was only a few pounds, so paying £13 really shocked me. It made me appreciate Paultons Park even more, and I genuinely hope they continue offering free parking because it’s another reason the park offers such fantastic value for families.
There’s So Much More Than Peppa Pig World
Although Peppa Pig World is what attracts many families, Paultons Park is so much bigger than most people realise.
The park is divided into several beautifully themed lands, each with its own attractions, rides and atmosphere.
These include:
- Peppa Pig World
- Valgard: Realm of the Vikings
- Tornado Springs
- Lost Kingdom
- Critter Creek
- Wild Lands
Each themed area feels completely different, making the park exciting to explore from start to finish. Whether your children love dinosaurs, Vikings, animals, family rides or roller coasters, there’s something waiting around every corner.
One thing that also makes Paultons Park unique is that it’s home to a variety of animals. As you walk around the park, you’ll come across different animal enclosures, which gives children a chance to enjoy something other than rides. Combined with the beautifully maintained gardens throughout the park, it feels far more than just a traditional theme park.

Home of the UK’s Only Peppa Pig World
If you’ve got a little one who’s obsessed with Peppa Pig, this area alone is worth the visit.
Peppa Pig World is the only official Peppa Pig theme park in the UK and features nine themed rides alongside character meet and greets, splash play and interactive attractions.
The rides include:
- Peppa’s Big Balloon Ride
- Daddy Pig’s Car Ride
- Miss Rabbit’s Helicopter Flight
- Grandpa Pig’s Little Train
- Grandpa Pig’s Boat Trip
- George’s Dinosaur Adventure
- Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club
- Windy Castle Ride
- The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride
Children can also cool off in the Muddy Puddles splash play area before meeting Peppa Pig, George and Baby Evie Pig throughout the day.
For toddlers and preschoolers, it’s honestly one of the best themed areas you’ll find anywhere in the UK.

Peppa Pig World Early Play & Ride Pass
If you’ve got a little one who absolutely loves Peppa Pig, you can make your visit even more special by booking the Peppa Pig World Early Play & Ride Pass on selected dates.
This optional add on gives guests exclusive access before the park officially opens. You’ll have the chance to meet Peppa Pig and George for photos between 9:00am and 9:30am before the rest of the park arrives, making it a much calmer experience for younger children.
The pass also includes 30 minutes of early access to the rides in Peppa Pig World from 9:30am, allowing you to enjoy some of the most popular attractions before the queues begin to build. You’ll also have access to the outdoor adventure playground during your early entry.
Prices are:
- Adult: £19.25
- Child (3 years+): £29.75
- Child (13 to 35 months): £23.75
- Child (6 to 12 months): £9.75
- Children under 6 months: FREE
Do keep in mind that this is an optional extra and you’ll still need to purchase your standard Paultons Park admission tickets separately. Places are limited and it’s only available on selected dates, so it’s worth booking in advance if you’d like to add an extra bit of magic to your visit.

New for 2026: Valgard, Realm of the Vikings
The newest addition to Paultons Park is Valgard: Realm of the Vikings, and it’s absolutely brilliant.
This exciting new themed land introduces Drakon, Paultons Park’s most thrilling roller coaster yet and the park’s very first inverting coaster. It twists around Raven, another legendary coaster that’s been completely reimagined as part of the new area.
There’s also the UK’s first Vild Swing ride, a Viking themed playground and a fantastic Nordic themed dining hall.
We absolutely loved this area.
The rides are so much fun and are perfect for older children, teenagers and adults looking for something more thrilling.
What surprised us most, though, was the queue times.
Most rides in Valgard were showing waits of just five to ten minutes, so we ended up riding them multiple times throughout the day because we simply didn’t have to wait long.
It’s a fantastic addition to the park and really helps make Paultons Park somewhere that appeals to every age group.

Queue Times
One of the biggest reasons we continue recommending Paultons Park is because of the queue times.
We’ve visited several times, almost always during weekends or school holidays, yet we’ve never experienced ridiculously long waits.
On our latest visit, our longest queue all day was only around 25 minutes.
Many rides across the park were between five and fifteen minutes, while several rides in Valgard were only five to ten minutes.
Unlike many other UK theme parks, Paultons Park doesn’t offer paid fast passes or queue jump systems and, honestly, we’ve never once felt like they were needed.
That’s something you don’t often hear about a major UK theme park.
Splash Parks
If you’re visiting during the warmer months, don’t forget to pack your swimwear.
Paultons Park has two fantastic splash play areas where children can cool off between rides, making them a perfect addition during the summer.
One Small Thing I’d Love to See Improved
Honestly, it’s difficult to fault Paultons Park.
If I had one suggestion, it would simply be to add more drinking water refill stations around the park.
During our entire visit, we only found one, located opposite the larger splash play area. I know there were more but we just couldn’t find them.
On hot summer days, it would be great to have more places where families can refill reusable water bottles instead of needing to keep buying bottled water. It’s only a small thing, but I think it would make an already fantastic park even better.
Top Tips for Visiting Paultons Park
- Download the official Paultons Park app before you arrive. It includes an interactive map and live queue times, making it much easier to navigate the park.
- Bring swimwear, towels and a change of clothes for the splash play areas.
- Pack a reusable water bottle to refill throughout the day.
- Wear comfortable shoes because you’ll easily walk thousands of steps.
- If you’re planning to visit for two days, book both days together to receive 50% off your second day.
- Arrive early to make the most of the quieter morning queues.

- Southampton Airport Parkway, approximately 10 miles away with around a 15 minute taxi journey.
Final Thoughts
Paultons Park continues to be one of our favourite family theme parks in the UK, and every visit reminds us why.
Very few parks manage to cater so well for toddlers, older children, teenagers and adults all in one place, but Paultons Park really does. Whether you’re exploring the magical Peppa Pig World, braving the incredible new rides in Valgard, discovering the other themed lands, meeting the animals or cooling off in the splash parks, there’s genuinely something for everyone.
The short queue times, free parking, beautiful theming and excellent value for money all combine to create one of the best family days out in the country.
We’ll definitely be back again, and if you’ve never visited before, I’d highly recommend adding Paultons Park to your family bucket list.
