We went back to Majorca!

We haven’t left the country since February 2020, and we haven’t been on a plane since October 2019!

We have just come back from our trip to Majorca, and it was wonderful! This little holiday was so needed!

I’m going to keep this blog short. We booked with Jet 2 City Breaks. Our first time booking with them and it was a pleasant experience!

I took a taxi to Victoria Station, which cost me £6.42 using Bolt. You can get £10 off a trip if you use my link. We then took a national express coach from there to Stansted Airport and it cost £25.75 return.

We stayed at a 4-star hotel called Hotel Miradoor. This was a package holiday, so our flights, hotel, and luggage came to a total of £221. I did originally find a cheaper holiday, but the hotel reviews were not great, so I went for this one. Three nights of pure bliss!

We took a taxi from their airport, which cost €21.The ride took around 15 minutes. The taxi back to the airport was the same price. We could’ve taken the bus, which would’ve been cheaper and it’s easy to do, but I just wanted a bit of comfort.

The hotel room was lovely, modern and clean! It had a walk-in shower, a TV, two single beds, a fridge, and all the regular stuff you expect to get at a hotel.

The hotel has a jacuzzi, an indoor and an outdoor pool. The outdoor pool was closed, which was expected as we visited out of season. The view from there is stunning, though!

We didn’t have food at the hotel, as I like to try different restaurants each day, but I was so disappointed! Now I love Indian and Italian food, but that’s not what I want to eat when I go to Spain. I failed to find a decent Spanish restaurant, so we ended up eating from street food vendors, but of course the portions are always going to be quite small.

As I’m triple vaccinated and little miss is under 12, all I had to do was show my COVID pass to enter Spain. No tests are needed. I also had to fill in a Spanish passenger locator form.

Make sure you have your masks. You’re expected to wear them in all indoor areas. The plane included! Kids age 6+ will have to wear them on jet2 planes. That being said no one said a thing when little took hers off and I wasn’t going to force her to wear one.

I joined this Facebook group, and they’ve got all the latest info you’ll need if you’re thinking about booking a holiday. This includes tips on how to fill out passenger locator forms for different countries.

This holiday was all about being relaxed, so I had no intention of booking any excursions. I just wanted to enjoy the sun, sea, and food!

It was a lovely surprise to see “Sa Rueta,” which is a carnival for children. We saw so many families dressed up, so we decided to follow them (in a non-creepy way, haha) and we were not disappointed! Little Miss had the best time dancing, playing, and making new Spanish friends! It was great!

I think that’s all I have to say really! The holiday was perfect for us. We did lots of walking, exploring, and eating!

Only 12 more days until we leave the U.K. again! Any guesses where we’re going?
