REVIEW: Wizard Afternoon Tea at the Wands & Wizard Exploratorium

AD|Press trip.

If you have a little one that’s into all things magical, then this is the afternoon tea you NEED to check out!

📍 26 Greek Street, Soho, W1D 5DE, London, UK.

The nearest station is Leicester Square. It’s in the congestion charge zone so I would not recommend driving here.

Other important info.

  • There are toilets available at this venue.
  • You have to use narrow stairs to get to your seats. I would not recommend brining a buggy here.
  • I would say this is suitable for kids that are aged 4+ and are able to sit down for long periods of time.
  • It’s not just for kids. Adults can have fun here too!
  • Vegan and gluten-free options are available.
  • The experience is contactless, Covid-friendly and has been designed with social distancing in mind.

Price

1) Arcane Wizard’s Afternoon Tea (£35.00 per ticket) for everyone aged 12+.

2) Little Wizard’s Afternoon Tea (£19.00 per ticket) for magical beings aged 11 years and under.

3) The Magic Wand Experience® (£35.99 per ticket): you can build-your-own magic wand workshop in the Attic of the Wands & Wizard Exploratorium. Details here.

The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. When you arrive you will be escorted upstairs to the magical seating area where you afternoon tea takes place.

Make sure your phone is fully charged as you’ll need to scan a QR code that will bring you to a page with all the info you’ll need for the magic to begin.

I’m really torn about telling you everything about this and wanting you to experience the magic for yourself. I think it’s best to keep some things a surprise so I won’t tell you too much.

I will tell you that you get to make your own tea. Not once but twice and it’s FANTASTIC!! Little miss was in mesmerised by it all. So was I if I’m honest. At one point we made tea that changed colour. It was awesome!

I have to be honest and say we didn’t enjoy the cucumber and the mixed veg sandwiches but the ham and cheddar sandwich was fab! We requested more of the ham cheddar sandwiches and they were more than happy to give us some more.

The sweet treats were wonderful. I must say I’ve never tried freeze-fried unicorn poop before (skittles) but they were very yummy 😆

I’m sure the brownies will be a big hit with your kids if you decide to visit! I mean, who doesn’t like brownies?

The scones were buttery and warm! Scones are my favourite part of every afternoon tea, and these did not disappoint! I loved the little packaging they came in too!

I can honestly say that this is now definitely in our top five favourite afternoon teas in London. The amount of effort and thought that has been put into everything is what makes this a truly magical afternoon tea experience.
