If you are looking for a family all inclusive holiday in Benidorm that actually feels worth the money, this is one you need to look at.
Before I get into everything, if you are booking directly, you can use my code MAGICKIDDOADVENTURES for a discount on your stay. This only works when booking directly with the hotel, not through package holiday companies, so make sure you do that properly.
For the purpose of this review, I am only going to be talking about the Ultra All Inclusive experience. If you are looking at other board types, you will need to go directly to the official website and check what is included there.
First Impressions of Magic Pirates Island Resort
Magic Pirates Island Resort is a pirate themed family resort in Benidorm, designed for both kids and adults. From the moment you arrive, it really does feel like an experience rather than just a hotel. Everything is themed, everything is built around families, and there is so much going on.
This was actually our second time staying at a Magic Hotel Group resort, the first being Magic Robin Hood back in 2024, which we also really enjoyed. So we came in with high expectations, and overall, it definitely delivered.
It is also worth mentioning that the resort is not far from Alicante Airport, which makes it a really easy transfer, especially with kids. They can also organise your transfers for you, you just need to let them know in advance which is really helpful.

Our Room: Battleship Lagoon Pool Club Premium Cabin
We stayed in a Cabaña – Battleship Lagoon Pool Club Premium cabin (33m²) and this is where you really start to feel the benefits of booking Ultra All Inclusive.
The cabin included:
- Air conditioning and heating
- Private terrace with furniture
- Smart TV
- Free WiFi
- Mini fridge, microwave and coffee and tea facilities
- Double bed, bunk bed and sofa
- Full bathroom with rain effect shower or bath
- Vanity desk area
The room itself was clean, comfortable and honestly smelled amazing, which is always a good sign when you walk in. It felt very family friendly and had everything we needed.

As part of the Ultra All Inclusive premium cabin, we also had:
- Welcome pack with cava
- Daily minibar refills
- Access to VIP areas
- Premium buffet access
- Priority check in
- Fast pass in bars
All of this made the experience feel smoother and more premium, especially when it came to avoiding queues.
Ultra All Inclusive: What You Actually Get
This is where Magic Pirates Island really stands out. The Ultra All Inclusive is not just food and drinks, it is more like a full experience.

There is an app you’ll need, which is actually really useful. You can book restaurants, excursions and activities all in one place
Food and Dining Options
Food was actually really nice, and there was a lot more variety than I expected.
At the buffets, you had:
- Different types of meat including chicken and lamb
- Freshly cooked options
- Lots of sides and salads
- Sweet treats including doughnuts and desserts
- A chocolate fountain which kids will love
Breakfast options included:
- Sausages
- Different types of eggs including fried and scrambled
- Pastries
- Fruit and cereals

The food offering was varied and catered well to a range of tastes, ensuring there was always something suitable at each mealtime. It followed the standard expected of a traditional all-inclusive resort, with a good mix of options available across the main restaurant and snack bars, meaning it never felt overly repetitive during the stay.
The snack bars were a standout, particularly the kebabs, which were consistently enjoyable and a great option throughout the day. My daughter, of course, was in her element when it came to the sweet treats, from chocolate fountains and doughnuts to muffins and ice creams available on deck, she was in absolute sugar heaven. That said, it was reassuring to see there were also plenty of fresh fruit and healthier options available to keep things balanced.
During peak times, queues could become quite long, which slightly impacted the overall experience. Additional staffing during these busier periods would help improve efficiency and reduce waiting times.

It is a really nice way to get out of the resort and still have everything included.
Pools, Facilities and Entertainment
There are three main pool areas:
- Kraken’s Kid Port with splash zone
- Battleship Lagoon with slides and zipline
- Paradise Island Pool with a more relaxed vibe and swim up bar

The pool areas are well designed and very family friendly, with plenty to keep children entertained throughout the day. The slides are a lot of fun and were a big hit, especially for kids looking for a bit more excitement. There are also dedicated splash zones, which are always popular, along with shallow areas that make it easy for babies, toddlers, and non swimmers to safely enjoy the water.
However, it is worth noting that the pools are very cold. On particularly hot days this may not be an issue, but it is definitely something to be aware of before you go.
Other facilities include:
- Kids club which is on the smaller side and better suited for younger children
- Game experience room with consoles and simulator
- Daily shows in the amphitheatre
- Bars and food trucks across the resort
- A very cool zip line
There is also a really fun interactive pirate treasure hunt app, which adds an extra activity for kids around the resort.
Aqua Natura and Terra Natura Access
One of the biggest highlights is that you get:
- Unlimited access to Aqua Natura waterpark
- Unlimited access to Terra Natura zoo
Access to Aqua Natura and Terra Natura is a really nice added bonus, especially given how close they are to the resort. Being able to take a short walk and suddenly find yourself near elephants and other incredible animals is a unique experience, and something that really stood out. Terra Natura itself is very large, so it is worth setting aside at least half a day, if not a full day, to explore it properly without feeling rushed.

Aqua Natura is equally impressive and offers a great mix of slides and attractions suitable for a range of ages. Whether you are after something more thrilling or prefer a gentler experience, there is plenty to choose from. There are also lots of areas to sit back, relax, and take a break, which makes it easy to spend several hours there. Much like the hotel pools, though, the water here is also very cold, so it is something to keep in mind when planning your visit.

Excursions and Extra Experiences
If you stay 4 nights or more, you also get:
- Medieval Magic Robin Hood Challenge
- Princesses and Knights show
- Magic show
You can also:
- Visit Magic Natura Resort for free (subject to availability via the app)
- Get discounts on other Magic properties

Extra Things to Know
- Luggage storage is available, which is really helpful if you have a late flight
- Transfers can be arranged in advance by the hotel
- The resort is not far from Alicante Airport, making travel easier with kids
What We Honestly Thought
We had a fantastic stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped, the food had plenty of choice, and there was always something to do throughout the day and evening.
This is the kind of holiday where everything is taken care of for you, which makes a huge difference when travelling with kids. You are not constantly thinking about where to eat, what to do next or how much things are going to cost, because it is all included and easy to access.

Final Thoughts: Is It Worth It?
If you are looking for a family all inclusive in Benidorm that genuinely keeps everyone entertained, this is a really strong option. What stands out the most is how much is actually included within the Ultra All Inclusive package. From the food and drinks to the themed restaurants, beach clubs, entertainment, waterpark access and even excursions, it really does feel like you are getting a full experience rather than just a hotel stay.
The premium cabin upgrade also makes a noticeable difference, especially with things like priority check in, fast pass at the bars and access to the premium buffet. It just makes everything feel a bit more seamless and relaxed, which is exactly what you want on a family holiday.
It is also ideal for a wide range of ages. Younger children will love the splash areas, pirate theme and kids club, while older kids and even adults will enjoy the pools, shows, food options and the overall atmosphere. It is one of those resorts where you can be as busy or as relaxed as you want to be.
The location works really well too. Being close to Alicante Airport makes travel straightforward, and having access to places like Aqua Natura and Terra Natura adds even more to do without needing to travel far.
Overall, we had such a good experience here. Between this and our previous stay at Magic Robin Hood, it is clear that Magic Hotel Group really knows how to cater for families.
If you are planning a trip, do not forget to use my code MAGICKIDDOADVENTURES when booking directly to get a discount on your stay. It is a small saving, but it all adds up, especially for family holidays.
This is definitely one of those places that is worth adding to your list if you want a fun, easy and well organised family getaway in Spain.
