If you are looking for a budget-friendly day out with kids near London, CycloPark in Gravesend, Kent is definitely one to have on your list. With access to both a outdoor play park and CycloLand for just £7.50 per family, it is one of those places that feels like good value without needing to overcomplicate things.
We visited on a really nice sunny day and kept things simple, focusing on the play park and CycloLand, and honestly, that was more than enough to keep my child entertained for hours.
What Is CycloPark?
CycloPark is a large outdoor activity space designed for families, cyclists and children of all ages. It is best known for its cycling facilities, but there is also a well-sized play park and a dedicated area called CycloLand, which is perfect for younger children learning to ride bikes or scooters.
CycloLand is set up like a mini road system, complete with traffic lights, bridges and tunnels. It is ideal for building confidence and feels a bit different from your standard park.
How Much Does It Cost?
The main highlight is the price for families:

CycloPark is located at:
The Tollgate, Watling Street, Gravesend, Kent, DA11 7NP
The nearest train station is Gravesend, which is around a 10-minute taxi ride from the park. It is an easy journey from London, making it a good option for a day trip.
Our Experience
We kept things simple and just explored the play park and CycloLand, and it worked perfectly for us. The space is big enough for kids to run around freely, and CycloLand added something a bit different compared to your usual playground.
It did not feel overcrowded when we went, and because everything is outdoors, it is ideal on a sunny day.
We did not try the bike hire, trails or skatepark this time, but we are already planning to go back and explore more of what is on offer.
Is CycloPark Worth It?
If you are looking for an affordable, low-pressure day out with kids, CycloPark is definitely worth considering. It is not about big attractions or flashy experiences, but more about simple outdoor fun that keeps children active and entertained.
For £7.50, it is hard to complain, especially when you can easily turn it into a full day out.
We will definitely be returning, next time to hire bikes and possibly check out the skatepark as well.
