The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando REVIEW: Spacious Suites and Endless Fun

A Family-Friendly Resort Near Disney

The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando is a 106-acre tropical escape, perfectly located near Walt Disney World® Theme Parks. With complimentary daily transport to Walt Disney World®, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld, it’s an ideal base for families who want both resort relaxation and easy access to Orlando’s world-famous attractions.

Guests can choose between two accommodation options: The Grove or The Terraces at The Grove, both offering full access to the resort’s extensive amenities. Whether you’re after upscale comfort or pure family fun, this resort blends both seamlessly.

Spacious Accommodation

We stayed in a Three Bedroom, Three Bath Condo – Superior View, and it was incredible. The space was huge, even larger than my home in the UK, and felt more like a private apartment than a hotel room. The highlight was the view overlooking the water park, which made the morning and evening extra special.

Having a fully equipped kitchen, fridge, and washer/dryer made our stay far more convenient. I managed to wash and dry all our clothes before flying back to the UK, which made returning home much easier. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the choice of rooms meant we all had plenty of space. I would highly recommend this style of accommodation to families looking for comfort and practicality.

Parking and Location

Parking at The Grove Resort costs $29 plus tax per vehicle, per day for covered parking. While we didn’t drive, using Lyft was simple and convenient. The resort is close to supermarkets such as Target and not far from the main Orlando attractions, so getting around was stress-free. We only stayed one night this time, but I’d happily spend longer here to enjoy everything the resort has to offer.

Dining and Facilities

The resort has a variety of dining options, including:

Alfresco Market – open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., perfect for snacks and essentials. Starbucks on-site, which is always a win for a quick coffee fix.

Valencia – Family dining with classic favourites including scrambled eggs, omelettes, steak, and fresh salads.

The Springs Bar & Grill – A relaxed spot for appetisers, entrées, cocktails, and refreshing beers.

Longboard Bar & Grill – Located at Surfari Water Park, perfect for light bites and cool drinks between the fun.

Dyve Bar – Poolside cocktails and chilled drinks at The Terraces.

For families, there’s also an activity centre where children can enjoy arts and crafts, colouring, video games, and TV. An arcade is also available, making it a great way to cool off when the Orlando sun gets too hot.

The resort even has Lake Austin, where guests can try fishing, boating, and more – a unique feature that sets this resort apart from many others in Orlando.

Surfari Water Park – The Highlight of Our Stay

The star attraction is undoubtedly Surfari Water Park, included for all guests. From thrilling rides to laid-back relaxation, it’s the perfect place to spend a whole day.

FlowRider® Double Surf Simulator: A fantastic way to experience surfing in a safe and fun environment. Lazy River: A family favourite – we loved drifting along and cooling off under the Florida sun. Slides and Splash Zone: My daughter especially enjoyed the water slides and splash park area, which are perfect for kids of all ages.

We found that The Grove Resort isn’t just a base for theme parks – it’s a destination in itself. Families could easily spend the day here enjoying the water park, activities, and dining without ever leaving the resort.

Final Thoughts

Our short stay at The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando left us wanting more. From spacious family condos and great dining options to the incredible Surfari Water Park, it offers everything families need for a fun-filled Orlando holiday. If you’re visiting with children, this resort is a fantastic choice where the memories you make will be just as magical as those at the nearby theme parks.
