My Daughter’s First Concert Was Beyoncé – A Cowboy Carter Tour Experience She’ll Never Forget
My nine-year-old turns 10 this year, and I honestly couldn’t think of a better present than taking her to her very first concert. And not just any concert — her first Beyoncé concert. I mean, how amazing is that?
Now, I didn’t exactly force her to become a fan… I just happened to play Beyoncé in the car a lot until she realised for herself how incredible she is 😂.
I booked our tickets to the Cowboy Carter Tour way back in February and managed to keep it a complete surprise until the day of the show. The London concert was held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and I was so lucky — one of my lovely followers let me use her parking permit (thank you again!). There was no way I was getting on the tube with thousands of people after the show — it’s always manic, and we live quite far from Tottenham. Driving was definitely the right decision.
When we arrived, we had a quick look at the merch shop. As expected, everything was very pricey. Beyoncé, I love you, but you’ve had enough of my money with these tickets 😅. We didn’t buy any merch, but it was fun to browse and take some pictures.

We checked our tickets to find our entrance and queued up outside. Security made an announcement and let us in. Tickets were scanned twice, and then they checked our bags. They were very strict — no food, no umbrellas, and no bottles allowed. That last one is especially frustrating because, let’s be real, people need water! Yes, you can buy water inside… for a ridiculous £3.50, and they take the cap off. If you’ve got kids like me, you already know they’re going to spill that £3.50 bottle in no time 🙄.
We ended up buying pizza and a Coke, and the total came to £16.50. We did eat beforehand, but you know what kids are like — she got hungry. The pizza was honestly terrible and overpriced, but it is what it is. These events are never cheap. That said, I realised no one really checked my second bag, so I probably could have snuck in some snacks. Next time!
We found our seats super easily — Section 105, Row 14, Seats 131 and 130. While we were waiting for the show to start (around 7:30pm), I checked Ticketmaster and noticed some tickets still available in Row 7. Once Beyoncé came on, we quietly moved down there. I’m guessing those were resale seats that didn’t get sold in time. Thank you to whoever wasted their money 😂.
And then… Beyoncé. She was incredible. As part of her Cowboy Carter Tour, she performed classics like “If I Were a Boy” and even brought out her two beautiful daughters. From start to finish, she delivered a full three-hour performance — truly amazing. The visuals were next level.

There’s been some talk online about whether her new music counts as country. It’s honestly wild that a Black woman from Texas would ever be told she’s not “country enough” — especially given the roots of country music. But trust me, she nailed it. We loved every second.
I made sure to bring ear defenders from Amazon, and I’m so glad I did — at one point, my daughter said it was quite loud. The show ended around 10:30pm, and the final performance was “16 Carriages”, which was such a beautiful way to end the night. That song is stunning, and it really shows how hard she works. She deserves every flower she gets.
EDIT: Just to clarify — the last song is actually “Amen.” We left after Beyoncé said “16 Carriages” was her final song, but I went again the next night and realised it wasn’t! Make sure you stay until the very end — “Amen” is absolutely incredible.
And yes — at one point Beyoncé flies. It sounds mad, but it’s actually amazing to see live. The whole Cowboy Carter Tour experience was unforgettable.
These tickets weren’t cheap, but I’ll always say it: I’d rather spend money on experiences than toys. And this was one my daughter will remember forever. 💫
