My nine-year-old had the fish goujons with fries and orange juice, followed by some ice cream. As a picky eater, she loved that her meal was simple and plain, exactly how she likes it. She didn’t have a single complaint – and neither did I! Kids can enjoy good, wholesome food while parents benefit from the great deal and hassle-free dining experience.
For myself, I started with Coronation Chicken Fritters, served with onion and mango chutney. These fritters tasted just like a chicken curry in small, perfectly crisp fritter balls. They were so good, I wish there had been more on the plate – but that’s just me being greedy!
For my main, I couldn’t resist the TMC Lobster & Crayfish Roll (£33.50). This roll was hands down one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. The lobster and crayfish, topped with Mary Rose sauce, crispy pickles, and accompanied by lemon and garlic hand-cut chips, was absolutely perfect. If I had room, I would’ve definitely ordered another one. It’s one of those dishes that makes you want to come back for more!
While The Mayfair Chippy is located in Knightsbridge, making it a bit on the pricier side, the quality of the food and the enjoyable experience made it well worth the cost. I didn’t pay this time, but I can honestly say I’ll be returning as a paying customer in the future. The Kids Eat Free offer is an amazing deal, especially in such a prime London location. Plus, it’s right near some of London’s best family-friendly attractions, including the V&A, Natural History Museum, The Paradox Museum and Science Museum. It’s the perfect place to stop for a meal after exploring these must-see spots.
