London Zoo Discounts and Offers: Save Big on Your Next Visit

Looking for ways to save on a trip to London Zoo? With the rising cost of family outings, it’s always a good idea to hunt for discounts and deals before you go. In this guide, I’ll share all the best ways to find discounted tickets for London Zoo, from National Rail offers to special deals for Universal Credit recipients. Let’s dive in and make your next visit both fun and affordable!

National Rail 2FOR1 Offer at London Zoo
One of the best ways to save on your London Zoo tickets is by using the National Rail 2FOR1 offer. If you’re traveling by train, you can get two tickets for the price of one, meaning the cheaper of the two tickets will be free. To use this offer, you’ll need to download a 2FOR1 voucher from the Days Out Guide website and pre-book your zoo tickets online. Make sure you have two valid National Rail tickets, as both your train and zoo admission tickets will need to be shown on arrival to redeem the offer.

Free Admission for Children Under 3
London Zoo offers free admission for children under 3, which is perfect for families with young children, particularly those on maternity leave. This is an ideal opportunity to take your little one on a day out without breaking the bank. For a quieter and more relaxed experience, I recommend visiting on a weekday. Weekends and school holidays can be quite busy, so if you can, try to avoid those peak times and enjoy a more peaceful visit.

Blue Light Card Discounts
If you’re a Blue Light Card holder, you might be eligible for a discount at London Zoo. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to this offer since I’m not an emergency services worker, but if you are, it’s worth checking out the Blue Light Card website to see how much you can save. This card often provides great deals for a variety of attractions, so it’s definitely worth looking into.

Blue Peter Badge Holders Get Free Entry
Did you know that London Zoo is one of over 200 attractions across the UK where Blue Peter badge holders can get free entry? This also includes Whipsnade Zoo! Children aged 5-15 who have earned a Blue Peter badge by appearing on the show or through special achievements can use their badge to visit for free. If your child has a Blue Peter badge or you want to learn how they can get one, I’ve written a detailed blog post about it—check it out here for all the information you need!

Universal Credit Discount
If you’re receiving Universal Credit or other financial assistance such as Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Income Support, or Jobseeker’s Allowance, London Zoo offers discounted tickets for you. These tickets must be booked online in advance and are available for up to six people per household. Children under 3 can enter for free, but you’ll still need to book tickets for everyone else before your visit, as only full-price tickets are sold at the gate. Be sure to bring proof of eligibility, as you’ll need to show it when you arrive.

For more ways to save on family days out, I’ve compiled a list of other attractions offering discounts for Universal Credit recipients—be sure to check it out here for more ideas on budget-friendly adventures!

With these discounts and offers, there’s no need to pay full price for your London Zoo tickets. Whether you’re traveling by train, eligible for a Blue Peter badge, or receiving financial assistance, there are plenty of ways to save on your next visit. Plan ahead, book online, and enjoy a day out at one of the UK’s top family-friendly attractions without breaking the bank!
