In this blog post, I’ll delve into our enchanting experience at Hôtel Dream Castle, reserving some details about Disneyland for later in the post. I chose to make my reservation through Hotels.com, enticed by a well deserved £100 voucher offered as recompense for the hiccups encountered during our previous Disneyland Paris escapade, which I’ve elaborated on in this TikTok post.
Originally priced at £454.86 for 3 nights, I managed to secure our stay for the reduced rate of £354.96, courtesy of this voucher. Despite my reservations about Hotels.com, I must say their rewards system is great, tailor-made for avid globetrotters. With each night booked, you accrue stamps, and upon reaching the tenth stamp, you’re rewarded with a FREE night’s stay (excluding VAT). I also make a point of securing cashback through TopCashback whenever I make a booking.
The hotel itself boasts a plethora of amenities, including two inviting pools. The indoor pool, complete with a slide, though smaller than its counterpart at the neighboring Explorer’s Hotel, still exuded charm. Lockers are conveniently available, alongside a Jacuzzi and a shallow section designed with the little ones in mind. It’s worth noting that these pools do not have lifeguards, the responsibility for your child’s safety rests firmly in your hands.
Regrettably, the captivating outdoor pool was inaccessible during our visit, but I anticipate it will be open during the warmer summer months. For those seeking further information, I recommend perusing the hotel’s website or reaching out via email or phone for additional details.
I would describe this hotel as a cheaper alternative to the newly renovated Disneyland Hotel, though I use the term “cheaper” loosely, as there are certainly budget options in the area. Both the interior and exterior are equally impressive, making it an ideal choice for families heading to Disneyland who want to treat their children like royalty.
Initially booked into a standard room, we were graciously offered a complimentary upgrade, providing us with a glimpse of the luxurious accommodations depicted in the photos. Our room boasted amenities such as a shower and bath, a mini-fridge, a TV, tea and coffee-making facilities, and two large, comfortable beds—all immaculately clean. A useful tip for gauging room cleanliness is to inspect the TV remote; ours was spotless, a reassuring sign of thorough housekeeping.
Additionally, breakfast was included in our upgrade, offering a variety of enticing options.
The hotel’s convenient location just 10 minutes from Disneyland Paris, coupled with the complimentary shuttle service, made transportation a breeze. The real-time shuttle schedule displayed at the hotel entrance was a thoughtful touch, simplifying our travel plans.
For younger guests, both indoor and outdoor playgrounds were available, though we primarily utilized the indoor facility due to the cooler weather.
While the hotel’s Wi-Fi connectivity left something to be desired, particularly in the reception area and our room, we found it to be a minor inconvenience—a reminder of the luxury of disconnecting from technology.
The hotel also features a modestly sized games room and various arcade areas scattered throughout, providing additional entertainment options for families.
Overall, our experience at this hotel was highly enjoyable, and we look forward to returning, perhaps during the summer months to fully enjoy the outdoor pool and amenities. See more on our tiktok.
