Reason 1
This was our first time at Bunn leisure (now known as Seal Bay), and it was fabulous. Yes, we did another sun £9.50 holidays and the total cost of the holiday for two adults and two kids was £97.90. So my first reason for visiting here is because it’s so honestly lovely.
Our holiday home was nice and clean, and check-in was so simple. A few days before you are set to start your staycation, they will send you an email that will tell you everything you need to know, including where your holiday home will be. Please make a note this and use the map that they send you to pin point it’s location. Our holiday home was in Seagull Close. All we had to do was pop that into apple maps and then follow the directions there.
What I thought was cool is that you can open and close your caravan using the app. They have a brand-new app, and this app has a digital key. You also be given a key, but it’s great to know you can use your phone too.
Reason 2
The staff are very accommodating and happy to answer any questions you may have! The activity leader for the balance bikes activity was also fab. He had the children smiling from ear to ear!
Reason 3
Bunn Leisure has a range of activities for families, and a lot of them are free. This is great for those that want to save a bit of money. Our little ones only got the chance to do the balance bikes. We also had frisbee golf and flying drones booked, but unfortunately, the weather made sure we couldn’t do that, but it’s just another reason for us to visit next time.
Reason 4
The indoor pool is brand-new for this year, and it was fantastic. I just love checking something out when it’s brand new. It just means everything is still nice and clean 😆. It’s great for all ages. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to check out the Lido and the splash area, but it looked pretty amazing too.
Reason 5
There are 3 parts to Bunn Leisure: West Sands, White Horse and Green Lawns. Our holiday home was in West Sands which meant that we didn’t have to go very far to access the beach. I’m not a fan of pebble beaches, but I love that it was a short walking distance from our holiday home. There was also an Asda just under 10 minutes away, which was fab! I somehow ended up leaving little miss’ leggings at home, and I luckily found some in store.
Know Before You Go
I hope you find this useful if you’re visiting soon.
- You must download the app and create an account before you set off on your journey.
- The app will give you access to the barrier gate code and also your digital key to open your holiday home.
- Your park information including passes and maps will be in your holiday home
- The swimming changing rooms are currently closed.
- You cannot bring a towel into the pool area. There are lockers that you can use for £1. You’ll get this back at the end of your session.
- All activities must be pre-booked via the Bunn leisure app.
- All activities are subject to availability so early booking (only accessible 4 weeks prior to arrival) is advisable.
- If you have an activity booked, make sure you check your emails before you head off as I completely missed the cancellation email from one of our activities.
- Our holiday home came with some basics like a sponge, washing up liquid, toilet roll, plates, bowls cutlery etc. Be sure to bring everything else you may need.
- You can park your car right next to your holiday home.
Instagram Questions
I’ve had a load of questions on Instagram so I’ve decided to answer a few here.
“Is it easy to get to by public transport?”
Unfortunately, I cannot give an honest answer as I drove my car there but what I can tell you is that the nearest train station is Chichester. From Chichester, take a cab and ask for Bunn Leisure in Selsey. Or hop on the 51 bus at the nearby bus station, and it will take you to the Bunn Leisure main gate.
“Is there much to do there?
Yes there are plenty of activities to book. For example, they have Aqua paddlers, mini jet skis, frisbee golf, arcades, playgrounds and more. Hopefully, you will get to go when restrictions have eased up, and hopefully, you will have some sun! There is also a funfair which is open daily from 12 pm to 5 pm, (I think) and you can pay £15 for your kids to have unlimited rides.
“Is it better than Parkdean?”
100%. I really did enjoy our Parkdean Camber Sands staycation but I just thought Bunn Leisure was amazing in every single way. So organised, clean and plenty of activities for the family
“Do I need a car to get around?”
Having a car will definitely make your life easier but it’s not hard to get around by walking. Plus it’s nice to take in the fresh air. I’m sure you’ll see a lot of super cute rabbits when you’re walking around. They do offer a free bus service to get around the park.
“What was your favourite part of the staycation?”
I really did love the pool. The kids loved the toddler area. Unfortunately I couldn’t take any pictures but it really was awesome!
“What did you do for food?”
We did bring along some food to do some cooking and some snacks of course because kids love to constantly eat. They do have food available there too. We went to a fish and chip shop and I thought it was nice.
You can use the app to order food and take it away and as previously mentioned there is an Asda short drive away so you can always grab food from there too.
“How did get such a good price?”
This was another Sun 950 holiday. Check out my blog post to find out more information.
“Would you go again?”
I would 100% go again I thought this was an awesome staycation. Unfortunately the Covid restrictions and the rain meant that we couldn’t do everything we wanted to but that is even more of a reason for us to revisit.
