I can’t believe the excitement around this post! 😆 My Instagram DMs have been flooded with your questions, and I’m thrilled to finally answer them all here. Dive in for all the details you’ve been waiting for. And remember, for more pictures and videos of our amazing experience, check out our Instagram highlights!
It’s time for the review of the Peppa Pig bus tour!
How much?
Let’s be honest; it’s pricey! Our experience today, just for the two of us, cost over £80. However, considering everything that’s included, I believe it’s worth it. For those with larger families, though, it might turn out to be quite an expensive day out 😬
Lower deck: Adults: £55 and Kids: £45
Topdeck: Adults: £65 and Kids: £55
Topdeck VIP: Adults: £75 and Kids: £65
I was pleasantly surprised when we were invited to the top deck VIP section, even though I only paid for the lower deck. While this was a nice bonus, don’t count on it happening every time. It might have been because it wasn’t too crowded that day.
Pick up and drop off.
Departure Location: Somerset House
Departure Address: Victoria Embankment WC2R 0RN, by the River Thame
Please be there 15/20 minutes before as the bus cannot wait, Gates close 5 minutes before departure.
If you end up going on a super hot day, then why not make a day of it and head to the Somerset House fountains after? We went recently, and it’s lovely!
The afternoon tea.

If you watched my stories a couple of days ago, you might recall my frustration about the lack of catering for nut allergy sufferers. Given the high cost, I expected nut-free options. However, when I arrived, I was informed that nothing is made with nuts, but they can’t guarantee all the food is nut-free. This is something I’m used to; almost everything I eat says “may contain nuts.” It’s annoying, but I’ve learned to manage it over the past 26 years.
If my daughter had the allergy, I’d be much more cautious. However, I decided to try the food today (epi-pen at my side, of course). I had to sign a form acknowledging the risks. I’m not encouraging anyone to do the same, especially with kids. Always prioritize safety!
There are gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options available. For more details, check out their full menu. And don’t miss the Peppa Pig biscuits—they’re amazing!
The experience.
We arrived at the Somerset pick-up stop about 20 minutes before departure. We were greeted by Mel (I think that was his name; my hearing isn’t great 😬) and he was really sweet! He welcomed all the families and got the kids super excited to board the bus.
Another staff member checked us in, gave us our table numbers, and allowed us to board one by one. Masks are required when getting on and off the bus, but not during the tour itself. Hand sanitizer is also provided before boarding.
I was so impressed with how lovely everything looked! There was so much attention to detail, and the first thing my daughter said was, “Wow, mummy, this is amazing!” As a 26-year-old, I thought it was pretty amazing too!
Each table had special tablets that provided a Peppa Pig guided animation of the London tour, which made the experience extra special. Every child received an activity booklet to take home, adding to the fun.
We enjoyed some amazing Peppa Pig singalongs, including the famous Bing Bong Song that’s still stuck in my head! We saw iconic London landmarks like St. Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge, and more. Peppa and her friends shared fascinating facts about these landmarks, some of which were new to us!
Mel, the tour guide/entertainment guy, was fantastic with the kids! He kept them entertained with games everyone could join, helped everyone sing the correct lyrics, and took the time to interact with each child onboard. It was such a lovely experience!
COVID precautions.
- The bus tours will run at reduced capacity to comply with social distancing guidelines.
- Staff will be wearing masks at all times.
- Guests are being served their beverages in their own brand new reusable cup (it’s Peppa Pig themed 😍) which they are encouraged to take home after the tour.
- Guests will be boarded and seated on to the bus from the front to back, and will be asked to exit in reverse order from back to front in order to further minimise close contact between guests.
- There are screens around each of the tables to protect yourself from the other families on board (this sounds a bit mean but I’m not sure how else to word it haha)
More important info
- I thought it would be good to mention that a loo is available onboard for the exclusive use by children only.
- You’re given a takeaway box for any leftover food you may have.
- There’s limited space for buggies, and they can only accept ones that fold up.
- In the case they cannot meet your dietary needs, your own food is permitted.
- There is a changing facility onboard, but it is for emergency use only. They advise changing nappies prior to boarding the bus.
Who is it for?
No under 2s unfortunately and I can’t see anything about an age limit😆
How long is it on for?
Tours are available weekly from Thursdays to Sundays at 12:15 pm and 2:45 pm. I can’t seem to find anything about when it will end, but I’ll be sure to update this page when I do. You can book here.
Would you recommend sitting on the left or right side of the bus for maximum sightseeing potential?
