If you have seen Slick City appearing all over social media and are wondering whether it is actually worth visiting, this Slick City Nottingham review shares everything you need to know before you go.
We recently travelled all the way from London to Nottingham to check out the brand new Slick City Action Park. This indoor adventure attraction has only just opened in the UK and promises high energy fun with giant slides, climbing challenges and adrenaline style activities designed for both children and adults.
Because it is quite a journey from London, we wanted to see if it was actually worth the trip. In this detailed Slick City Nottingham review we share the ticket prices, attractions, age restrictions, travel costs from London and our honest thoughts after visiting.
What is Slick City Action Park
Slick City is a large indoor action park focused primarily on giant slides and high energy attractions.
Unlike traditional soft play centres or trampoline parks, the main focus here is on adrenaline style slide experiences where visitors climb up large towers before launching down different slides. Each slide offers a completely different experience. Some focus on speed and racing while others include spins, steep drops or curved designs that send riders gliding across the surface.
The park is designed as an active environment where visitors spend their time climbing, sliding and racing through the different attractions. All action tickets are available for visitors aged 4 and above.
Slick City Nottingham Ticket Prices
At the time of our visit there were several ticket options depending on how long you want to stay inside the park.
A 90 minute action ticket costs £19.95 per person.
If you want more time, a 120 minute ticket costs £24.95.
There is also a combo ticket for £27.50 which includes 90 minutes inside the park followed by two rides on the AirGlider attraction.
Visitors must wear Slick City grip socks while using the attractions. If you do not already have them, they can be purchased for £3 per pair.
AirGlider Ride
Alongside the main slides, Slick City also has a separate attraction called the AirGlider. This ride can either be booked individually or added to your visit.
One ride costs £4 per person or you can purchase three rides for £10. The three ride bundle cannot be shared between multiple people. AirGlider tickets are also available for visitors aged 4 and above.
Discounts Available
Slick City offers 2 discounts depending on eligibility.
Students can receive 20 percent off a 120 slide action ticket by using the code STUDENT20 at checkout. A valid student ID must be shown when checking in.
Emergency service workers and Blue Light card holders can also receive 20 percent off a 120 slide action ticket using the code BLUELIGHT20. Proof of Blue Light or emergency services ID must be shown when arriving at the park.
These discounts cannot be combined with other offers.
Do Spectators Need to Pay?
If you are visiting with children, one useful thing to know is that spectators do not need to purchase a ticket. Adults supervising children can enter the park without paying for an action ticket.
However, children under the age of 12 are not allowed to enter the park without an adult present.
There are plenty of tables and seating areas around the venue as well as seating inside the play area itself so adults can relax while children play. Free lockers are also available for storing belongings while you use the attractions.
Slides and Attractions at Slick City Nottingham
One of the things that makes Slick City stand out is the variety of slides available inside the venue.
Instead of traditional play equipment, the park focuses on adrenaline style slides designed for speed and excitement. Below are some of the attractions you can enjoy.
Fast Lane
Fast Lane is one of the most competitive attractions in the park. This four lane racing slide allows visitors to race friends or family members down at high speed.
Because multiple people slide at the same time, it creates a fun competitive experience.
Royal Flush
Royal Flush is one of the more dramatic slides inside Slick City. Riders drop down into a large bowl where they spin around before exiting the slide.
The spinning motion adds an extra thrill and makes this one of the more unique slide experiences in the park.
Rush
Rush focuses purely on speed. Riders launch down a steep slope before gliding across a long runway style track that gradually slows you down.
Mega Launch
Mega Launch is one of the park’s most impressive attractions. This large slide features a steep drop that creates a real adrenaline moment as riders launch downwards before reaching the bottom.
Big Wave
Big Wave is a curved slide that sends riders down into a large wave shaped structure rather than a straight drop. The curved design creates a very different sliding experience.
Junior Jungle
For younger visitors there is a soft play area called Junior Jungle.
This section includes smaller slides, climbing obstacles and padded play structures designed for children who may not be ready for the larger adrenaline slides elsewhere in the park.
Other Games and Activities
Alongside the slides there are also several additional activities around the venue including:
Valo Jump interactive games
Basketball challenges
Football games
Pixel Floor interactive games
A swing style attraction where you jump onto a large air cushion
These extra games give children additional things to do between slide runs.

Food and Drinks at Slick City
There is also a food area inside the venue if you want something to eat during your visit.
Menu options include hot dogs from £5.95 and pizzas from £11.95 as well as items such as chicken bites, mac and cheese bites, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, chips, chicken wings and jacket potatoes. There are also toasties, kids meals, hot drinks and cold drinks available.
Travelling from London to Slick City Nottingham
We travelled from London to Nottingham specifically to try Slick City and see whether it was worth the journey.
Here is exactly how we got there.
Taxi to St Pancras using Gett cost £46.99 although cheaper options may be available depending on where you are travelling from.
We then took the train from London St Pancras to Nottingham which cost £25.70 return using a Family and Friends Railcard and some Virgin points. The original price would have been around £50.50. I actually booked this the day before we went.
From Nottingham station to Slick City we took a short Uber which cost £7.39.
The Uber back to the station after our visit cost £7.94.
After returning to London we took an Uber home from St Pancras which cost £26.
The journey from London to Nottingham took 1 hour and 39 minutes while the return journey was 1 hour and 43 minutes.
It is also worth mentioning that train tickets are often significantly cheaper if you book in advance. You also do not need to take a taxi to the station like we did. Using public transport such as the Underground or buses would reduce the overall cost of the trip quite a bit.

First Impressions and Our Experience
We booked the 9 am session which ran from 9 am to 11 am and this turned out to be the perfect time to visit. The park did not really start getting busy until around 10.30 am which meant my daughter had around 90 minutes of going on endless slides with barely any queues. To be honest she barely had to queue at all.
The park itself is really big which helps spread people out across the different attractions. Because there are so many slides and activities it never felt overcrowded during our visit. Being able to get so many turns on the slides without waiting made the experience much more enjoyable.
Is Slick City Nottingham Worth Travelling to From London
After factoring in travel costs and the price of the attraction itself, a day trip from London can cost well over £100 depending on how you travel.
However, the slides are genuinely fun and very different from traditional soft play centres or trampoline parks. The focus on giant slides and adrenaline style attractions makes Slick City feel much more like a mini indoor adventure park.
For us, it was definitely worth the trip and I would absolutely recommend this as a day trip from London.
If you book train tickets in advance and use public transport instead of taxis, the overall cost of the trip could be significantly lower than what we paid.
We had a really fun visit and it is something we would definitely do again in the future.
