If you’re looking for a relaxing creative activity in London, especially around Battersea Power Station, Bonbon Pottery is absolutely worth considering.
We recently visited Bonbon Pottery – Battersea Power Station and it turned out to be such a calming, feel-good experience. Whether you’re planning a mother–daughter day out, a birthday activity, or simply searching for pottery painting in London, this studio offers a peaceful break from the usual fast-paced attractions.
Bonbon Pottery currently has two London locations — Battersea Power Station and Royal Wharf — with exciting plans to expand into Notting Hill, Wembley and Kingston.

What to Expect at Bonbon Pottery
From the moment we walked in, the space felt calm, welcoming and beautifully set up. The atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried, which makes it ideal for both adults and children.
We booked a DIY pottery painting session, and it genuinely felt like quality time. We were able to sit together, chat about our day and paint at our own pace without any pressure. It’s one of those rare activities that works equally well for adults and kids.
There are over 100 ceramic pieces to choose from — from mugs and plates to decorative items — all individually priced (with most averaging around £24).

Prices & Discounts
Prices vary depending on the ceramic item selected, with the average piece costing around £24.
Bonbon Pottery also offers a 10% NHS discount on painting sessions. Simply show your Blue Light Card at checkout and the discount will be applied.

Do You Need to Book?
Walk-ins are welcome during weekdays, but weekends are extremely popular — especially at the Battersea Power Station location. I would strongly recommend booking online in advance to secure your preferred time slot.
Aprons are provided, although they can be quite large for younger children, so it’s sensible to wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little paint on.
After You Paint
Once you’ve finished your masterpiece, the pottery needs to be glazed and fired, which takes approximately two weeks. If you don’t live locally or can’t return to collect your items, a paid delivery option is available.
Kids Parties at Bonbon Pottery
Bonbon Pottery also hosts children’s birthday parties and group bookings. If you’re looking for a creative kids party venue in London, it’s worth contacting them directly for package details and availability.
Is Bonbon Pottery Worth It?
If you’re searching for creative things to do in London, especially near Battersea Power Station, Bonbon Pottery is a lovely option.
It’s calm, creative and meaningful — not overstimulating or rushed like some immersive attractions. For us, it was the perfect mother–daughter bonding activity, and I’d absolutely recommend it for families, date nights, or even a solo creative reset.
If you want something hands-on and relaxing rather than high-energy, this pottery painting experience in London is definitely one to add to your list.
