Poolside Paradise! Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek REVIEW

If you’re taking the kids to Orlando and looking for a family-friendly hotel that truly delivers, this is definitely one to check out. We stayed at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek and thought it was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, I couldn’t believe everything it had to offer. The resort combines comfort, great amenities, and an ideal location just minutes from Walt Disney World, making it the perfect choice for families looking to enjoy a relaxing yet memorable stay in Orlando.

This was one of the three hotels we stayed at during our trip to Orlando, and it turned out to be a great choice for families.

The Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek is in a really convenient location. It’s about 19 to 21 miles from Orlando International Airport, which took roughly 25 to 30 minutes by Lyft. The resort is less than five miles from Walt Disney World, so it was a quick and easy ride to and from the parks. Universal Studios Florida is around 12 to 13 miles away, which usually took about 20 minutes by Lyft, depending on traffic.

Our room at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek was a Lake View Two Queen Beds Non-Smoking room, and it was everything we needed for a relaxing family stay. The space was clean, comfortable, and well laid out, with plenty of room to unpack and unwind after long days exploring Orlando. We had two incredibly comfortable queen beds, a spacious desk area, a flat-screen TV, and a mini-refrigerator which came in handy for drinks and snacks. The room also included a coffee maker, reliable internet access, and a bathtub/shower combination – perfect for winding down after a busy day at the parks.

The highlight for us was definitely the view. Our room overlooked the lake, and it was absolutely beautiful – especially at sunrise and sunset. It felt peaceful and calm, a nice contrast to the excitement of the theme parks.

The resort itself is fantastic and far larger than we expected. It’s beautifully maintained with five pools, two lazy rivers, and two kids’ splash pads, so it felt like we were discovering something new every time we walked around. There’s even a mini golf course, arcades, and plenty of spots to relax, which made it perfect for both adults and children. After long days at the parks, it was so nice to come back and just enjoy the atmosphere.

We had both breakfast and dinner at the resort, and the food was excellent. Everything was fresh and tasty – I especially loved the classic American burger at the Lakeside restaurant. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

Despite being such a large resort, it never felt overwhelming or tiring to walk around. Everything was well signposted and easy to get to, and the check-in process was quick and organised.

We only stayed for one night, but we genuinely tried to make the most of everything the resort had to offer – including testing out as many of the pools as possible. The water temperature was great, and the facilities were spotless.

Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek really does have everything you could want from a family resort: space, comfort, fun, and convenience. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
