If you’re looking for something affordable and fun to do in London with little ones, the AHOY! Children’s Gallery at the National Maritime Museum is a great shout. The gallery is ticketed on weekends, school holidays and bank holidays, and it’s worth booking ahead so you can secure your time slot without queuing. Even though term-time weekdays are free, booking in advance is still recommended because some sessions are held back for school visits, and those can book up fast.
There’s a buggy park close by and easy access to all the facilities you need for a smooth visit. If you fancy a quick break afterwards, the Ocean Court Café on the first floor is just a lift ride away. While you’re at the museum, definitely check out The Cove Playground outside — it’s another great spot for kids to run around, and it’s free.
