Castle Hotel Orlando REVIEW – What We Loved (and What to Expect)

If you’re looking for a charming, family-friendly hotel near the Orlando theme parks, Castle Hotel, Autograph Collection might be exactly what you need. With its fairytale design and castle-like architecture, it gave us instant Dream Castle vibes near Disneyland Paris.

Castle Hotel has a more boutique, intimate feel compared to the larger Orlando resorts, which we really appreciated on this leg of our trip. While we also enjoy the energy and excitement of bigger resorts, there’s something to be said for a hotel that’s easy to navigate, calm, and feels a little more personal. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, and they explained everything we needed to know at check-in. It’s worth noting that a $100 hold is placed on your card during check-in, which is refunded as long as there’s no damage to the room.

Check-in starts at 4pm and check-out is at 11am. The hotel offers a great range of facilities including a pool, jacuzzi, and pool bar – towels are provided, which is always handy. One of our favourite features was the rooftop terrace, where you can see the Disney World fireworks every evening at 9pm. It’s a lovely bonus that adds a little bit of magic to your stay. There’s also a fitness suite, a laundry room, and an on-site restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. For coffee lovers, there’s even a Starbucks in the lobby.

We stayed in a Tower Queen Room with two queen beds. The room included free WiFi, a mini fridge, coffee and tea maker, alarm clock, safe, work desk with plug sockets, iron and ironing board, a marble bathroom with a combined bath and shower, a hair dryer and premium movie channels. We loved our room. It was nice, comfortable and clean – and if you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know how particular I am about cleanliness. It’s one of the first things I pay attention to whenever I check in, and this room definitely met expectations. Everything was well-kept and tidy, from the bathroom to the bedding.

Location-wise, it’s hard to beat. The hotel is right next to ICON Park, an entertainment complex with shops, restaurants and attractions. We didn’t get a chance to explore it this time, but it’s somewhere we’d definitely visit if we had more time. It’s also around 15 minutes away from Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Orlando International Airport, depending on traffic. Everything felt central and easy to get to, which made a big difference to our schedule.

Castle Hotel, Autograph Collection is a fantastic option if you’re looking for a stylish, well-located place to stay in Orlando that offers comfort and character. It strikes a great balance – peaceful and cosy without missing out on amenities or location. As always, prices will vary depending on your dates, so I recommend checking the hotel’s website and experimenting with different dates to find the best rate. Whether you’re visiting for Disney, Universal, or simply exploring Orlando, this hotel is a solid choice that delivers both comfort and convenience.
