If you have a Miffy fan at home, this is one of those experiences that might just make their year. To celebrate 70 years of Miffy, Hilton London Bankside launched the UK’s first ever Miffy-themed hotel room, and we had the chance to stay there. I wanted to share my honest review, including what we thought of the room, the food, the service, and whether it’s worth booking for a special occasion.
When we arrived, the room instantly gave us that warm, fuzzy feeling. It was such a cute experience. From the moment we walked in, we could see the attention to detail everywhere. There was a Miffy puzzle laid out, themed window decorations, and even soap shaped like Miffy. The décor felt playful and thoughtful without being overwhelming, and it was clear a lot of care had gone into making the room feel special. My kid was absolutely thrilled, and honestly, I thought it was all really sweet too.
The room itself was spotless. Everything was clean, tidy, and well-presented, which is always something I look out for when staying anywhere with kids. It felt fresh, bright, and really comfortable to relax in. Right across the road from the hotel there’s a Tesco, which came in handy when we wanted to grab some quick snacks.

The staff at Hilton Bankside were genuinely lovely. Everyone we spoke to was friendly, helpful, and made us feel really welcome. It’s not something you always get at big London hotels, but here it felt like the team really cared about the guest experience, especially with children involved.
Dinner at the hotel was also really good. The menu was family-friendly, and the quality of food was great. Breakfast the next morning was even better. There was a brilliant variety of options to suit all tastes, including fussy eaters. From hot items to fresh fruit and pastries, there was plenty to choose from and it felt like they had thought of everyone.

Now, I’ll be honest. This isn’t the cheapest hotel experience in London. But if you’re celebrating a birthday, a special milestone, or just want to treat someone who absolutely loves Miffy, then this could be the perfect option. You’re not just paying for a bed for the night – you’re getting a themed experience that’s fun, charming, and genuinely memorable.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to other families. The Miffy touches were adorable, the room was clean, the food was lovely, and the staff were fantastic. If you’re looking for something a little different to do in London with kids, and especially if you’ve got a big Miffy fan in the house, this is definitely one to consider.
