We’ve visited Seal Bay Resort multiple times, and there’s a reason we keep going back—it’s one of our absolute favourite UK staycation spots. Our first trip was booked through the Sun £9.50 holiday promotion a few years ago, and since then, it’s practically become a yearly tradition. If you’re looking for a family-friendly holiday park that isn’t too far from London, this is one to seriously consider.
Seal Bay Resort is very accessible whether you drive or rely on public transport. The journey from London Victoria to Chichester takes less than two hours by train, and from there, you can hop in a taxi straight to the resort. If you’re driving, the journey from London is also around two hours, depending on traffic. It’s a fairly straightforward drive, which makes it ideal for families travelling with children.
What makes Seal Bay Resort even more convenient—especially for those who don’t drive—is the free on-site bus service that takes you around the different parts of the resort. This shuttle is available to all guests and is super handy for getting to the beach, entertainment venues, pools, and restaurants without the need to walk long distances or rely on a car.
Seal Bay Resort offers a fantastic range of accommodation options to suit all budgets, making it a great choice for families planning a UK staycation. From classic holiday caravans to luxury lodges, safari tents, and stylish beach pods, there’s something for everyone. You can also choose from camping and touring pitches or even modern luxury houses. Whether you’re after a budget-friendly caravan break or a premium lodge with all the extras, Seal Bay has it all. It’s definitely worth checking the official Seal Bay Resort website and playing around with different dates to find the best deals and availability for your ideal getaway.
On our most recent visit, we stayed in one of the Platinum Holiday Caravans. These come with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen including a fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and more. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and convenient stay.

Seal Bay Resort is home to two brilliant swimming facilities, making it one of the best UK holiday parks for families who love the water. You’ll find both an indoor leisure pool and a beautiful outdoor lido, each offering something unique for guests of all ages.
The indoor Oasis Leisure Pool is packed with family-friendly features and is a real highlight of the resort. There’s a lazy river, 25-metre pool, splash waterslides, and plenty of fun water features for children to enjoy. It’s a great way to spend a morning or afternoon, whether you’re looking to unwind or burn off some energy. There’s no need to book ahead—just show your resort pass when you arrive. During peak times, sessions may be limited to one hour for safety, and capacity is capped to ensure everyone can enjoy the facilities comfortably.
Supervision rules are in place to keep little ones safe. Children aged 0 to 3 require one adult per child, ages 4 to 7 need one adult for every two children, and children aged 8 and above can swim independently. Guests should arrive swim-ready, and there are changing rooms, showers, and lockers available. Lockers operate with a £1 refundable deposit to keep your belongings secure.
The outdoor lido is a massive hit in the summer and truly feels like a mini resort abroad. Open from May to September, it includes a large swimming pool, splash pad, sun loungers, delicious food options, an ice cream hut, a big screen, and even private cabanas for a touch of luxury. You don’t need to book to access the lido—just bring your resort pass. However, do keep in mind that adverse weather conditions may lead to temporary closures of the lido, splash pad, and cabanas for safety and comfort.
Cabanas are available to hire and add a premium touch to your day by the pool. Each one comes stocked with bottled beer, bottled water, cans of soft drinks, Fruit Shoots, and chocolate bars—everything you need for a chilled-out pool day with the family. Cabana hire costs £75 for the day, and Seal Bay owners get 15% off. You can book easily through the My Cove Holidays app.

There’s no shortage of activities at Seal Bay Resort. From archery and body zorbing to sand art workshops and more, there’s always something to do. Activities can be booked easily through the My Cove Holidays app, which is super handy once you’ve arrived. In addition to the organised activities, there’s evening entertainment, arcades, bowling, soft play areas and plenty more, making this a holiday park that caters to all ages.

A nice feature of Seal Bay Resort is its on-site beach. While it is a pebble beach (which may not be everyone’s favourite), it’s still a lovely place for a coastal stroll. If you’re after sandy shores, West Wittering Beach is just a short drive away and offers beautiful golden sand.
When it comes to food, you have lots of flexibility. The caravans are fully equipped for self-catering, and there are supermarkets on-site for essentials. If you prefer to stock up elsewhere, there’s also an Asda just a short drive away. Seal Bay Resort also has several food spots on site, and if you’re not in the mood to cook or go out, you can even have Papa John’s delivered straight to your caravan through the Cove Eats app—perfect for those chilled evenings in.

Seal Bay Resort also welcomes day visitors looking for a fun and memorable family outing without needing to book a full holiday. With a range of exciting activities, delicious dining options, and a nice beach to explore, it offers the perfect day trip for those seeking adventure and relaxation just a short journey from London.
If you’re looking for a UK holiday park that’s ideal for families, easy to reach from London, packed with activities, and offers flexible accommodation and dining options, then Seal Bay Resort is well worth checking out. Head to the Seal Bay website to start planning your next UK staycation—you might find yourself making it an annual tradition, just like we did.
