What to Expect: The Games
There are five games in total. Each one is inspired by the Netflix series but has been safely adapted for real-life play. Here’s a breakdown:
1. Memory Steps
Step across a glass-effect bridge by remembering and following the correct six-square sequence.
2. Marbles
Compete in a game of boules, throwing your metal boule as close as possible to the target (the cochonnet) while knocking away your opponent’s boules. – this is not actually how we played. This isn’t actually how we played. We were told to aim for the centre of the target. Only the player who successfully hit the target was allowed to collect any marbles still left on the table from players who missed. We took turns and played in a clockwise direction.
3. Rope Game
This game was meant to be a blind tug-of-war against another team. However, during our visit, it was replaced with a disappointing pom-pom kick-up challenge. Hopefully this will be improved in future.
4. Red Light, Green Light
Run when it’s green, freeze when it’s red. You’ll be watched by a life-sized version of Young Hee. The space for this game could have been bigger, but it still delivers fun and tension.
5. Round and Round
Land on the correct shape before time runs out. Quick reactions and sharp thinking are key.

How It Works
Once your ticket is scanned, you’ll get a wristband and then you wait in a holding area. You’ll be given a vest to wear over your clothes with a unique contestant number printed on it. Then you’ll:
Use your wristband at a kiosk Enter your contestant number Take a photo This setup links your identity and score throughout the experience
Each time you win a game, you scan your wristband at a green station. If you lose, you scan it at a red station. Your points are tracked automatically, and even if you’re eliminated from one game, you still move on to the next.

Age Recommendations
All ages are welcome, but the experience is best suited for children aged 8 and over. Parents should use their judgement based on their child’s confidence and physical ability. The games are competitive but not dangerous — eliminations are symbolic only, and there’s no harm in losing.
Ticket Prices
Tickets start from £21.90. Prices vary based on time and date, so booking early is recommended.
Final Thoughts
While some elements could be improved — particularly the rope game — Squid Game: The Experience is still an enjoyable and well-run event. It offers a great mix of challenge and entertainment, whether you’re visiting with kids or on a night out.
It’s a unique addition to London’s list of immersive attractions and a must-visit for fans of the show.
