REVIEW: Jurassic World Experience at NEON Battersea – London’s Roaring Attraction

Did you know Jurassic World: The Experience is back in London? If you’ve got a little dinosaur fan in your family – or you’re a Jurassic Park lover yourself – this immersive walk-through is worth considering. Now located at NEON, Battersea Power Station, it really does feel like stepping into the movie, and yes – you’ll even get the chance to meet Blue.

What to Expect at Jurassic World: The Experience

The experience now spans across two floors and is housed in the newly opened NEON venue, located on the side of Battersea Power Station closest to the River Thames. There are clear signs pointing the way, so it’s easy to find, and yes – there is a lift for accessibility.

On arrival, you’ll find toilets at the beginning of the experience – and you’ll want to use them, as there are no toilets once you’re inside. The entire experience lasts around one hour.

We noticed that buggies and scooters were being parked along the entrance wall, so there’s no need to bring them inside.

Inside the Experience

Before entering the main event, there’s an optional photo opportunity available. These are professionally taken and available to purchase at the end, but you’re not obliged to buy.

Once inside, you’ll journey through a variety of themed zones featuring lifelike animatronic dinosaurs. Some of these you can touch – others are for viewing only. Staff are on hand to let you know which are interactive.

Expect lots of great photo spots, and yes, you’re allowed to take your own pictures throughout.

Smaller children might find some areas intense – especially the T-Rex finale. This section includes flashing lights, loud sounds, and vibrating floors for a fully immersive experience. While it’s incredible, it might be overwhelming for toddlers or sensitive children.

Group sizes were well managed – it didn’t feel overcrowded at all.

A Quick Heads-Up on Temperature

One thing worth noting – it was very hot and stuffy inside when we visited. Whether that was due to the day or the building itself, it made the experience uncomfortable at times. I recommend wearing loose, breathable clothing and bringing a handheld fan to help stay cool.

You’ll also find a gift shop at the end, offering a selection of themed merchandise – but be prepared for premium pricing. We spotted mugs for around £14. Any paid photo packages can also be collected here.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Jurassic World: The Experience is a fun, interactive and well-produced attraction that’s great for families – especially those with dino-obsessed kids. It’s immersive, memorable and worth doing at least once. Just come prepared for the heat, and know that some younger children might find it a little overwhelming towards the end.
