Fortnum & Mason Kids’ Easter Cupcake Masterclass – A Fun Baking Workshop in London
Looking for an exciting kids’ baking class in London? We recently attended another Children’s Easter Cupcake Masterclass at Fortnum & Mason, and it was a sweet success! Perfect for young chefs aged 8–13, this hands-on baking workshop was hosted by none other than the queen of baking herself, Juliet Sear.
What to Expect at Fortnum’s Children’s Easter Cupcake Class
Held in Fortnum & Mason’s Food & Drink Studio, the class introduced kids to creative baking with a twist—vegetables in cupcakes! Yes, really. Children learned how to make moist, flavourful cupcakes using carrots and courgettes, and then had a chance to decorate them with adorable Easter-themed toppings.
I’ll be honest—I was a bit unsure about the whole “veggie in cupcakes” thing, and I didn’t actually try them myself, but my daughter swore they were delicious!

- Adult Tickets: Not required. Adults are welcome to sit nearby and watch.
Each child made four cupcakes during the session. I personally think it would’ve been even better if they could have baked a few more to take home. The kids worked in groups of three, which was fine for us since we booked with a friend, but solo bakers might prefer a more independent setup.
Our Experience
My daughter absolutely loves baking, and I love when she does it outside the house—hello, clean kitchen! She had a great time getting messy and creative without me having to clean up flour and icing from every surface.
While this workshop was fun and well-organised, I must admit that the kids’ baking class we attended at The Langham(the one that went viral on our IG!) has set the bar pretty high. That one was more expensive but also more luxurious.
Still, Fortnum & Mason’s workshop was a lovely and affordable option, especially for central London. Plus, Juliet Sear was incredibly warm and engaging with the kids.
