Is Up at The O2 Good for Kids?
Yes — it’s actually a brilliant activity for older kids (8+) and teens who love a bit of adventure. The climb is challenging enough to feel exciting without being too intense or scary. Kids will love putting on the harness, using the climbing shoes, and most of all — reaching the top and seeing London from such a high point.
The guides are also fantastic with children, offering encouragement, helping them feel safe, and explaining everything in a fun and friendly way. If you’re looking for a memorable family experience in London that’s a bit different from the usual attractions, Up at The O2 is definitely worth considering.

My Honest Up at The O2 Review
I actually quite enjoyed the climb! It’s not as scary as it looks from the ground, but it is definitely tiring — especially the descent, which gets pretty steep and can feel a little nerve-wracking. There’s a moment where it feels like you’re about to fall, but you’re securely clipped in the whole time. Just lean back, trust the gear, and enjoy the ride down.
The guides were fantastic — friendly, supportive, and with you every step of the way. They answered questions, made us feel safe, and helped keep the energy up throughout the experience.
When you reach the top, there’s a real sense of achievement. Standing above London with the wind in your hair and the city stretching out in all directions is an incredible feeling. Whether you go during the day or at sunset, the views are unforgettable.
Final Thoughts: Is Up at The O2 Worth It?
Absolutely! If you’re someone who enjoys a bit of adventure and doesn’t mind a physical challenge, Up at The O2 is a great London activity. It’s fun, thrilling, and offers something truly different — perfect for tourists, locals, couples, groups of friends, or families with adventurous kids. Just be prepared for a bit of a workout, and don’t forget your socks!
