Kiddo Adventures isn’t just about the little ones—it’s about us big kids too! As parents, we often focus on creating magical experiences for our children, but it’s just as important to carve out time for ourselves. That’s why I have dedicated this space to “kidult” adventures—fun experiences for grown-ups who still love to have a good time.
So, when someone questioned why I shared my experience at Usher’s concert at The O2, the answer was simple: because parents deserve fun too! And if you’re an R&B lover like me, this is an event you don’t want to miss.
Usher’s 10-Night Residency at the O2
Usher has taken over London with an epic 10-night residency at the O2, celebrating each year he’s been away from the city. For longtime fans, this is a dream come true—a chance to see one of the biggest R&B stars perform live in an intimate yet high-energy setting.
Let’s be real: while Usher has some family-friendly hits, a lot of his songs have very adult themes. So, this is definitely not a concert for kids. But for us grown-ups? It’s an absolute must-see.

VIP Pit: The Best Way to Experience Usher Live
I booked the VIP Pit, and let me tell you—it was worth every single penny. There’s nothing like seeing your favourite artist up close.
Years ago, when I was in college, I could only afford the highest, furthest-away seats. I remember seeing Drake at the O2 from way up in the nosebleed seats—still a great experience, but let’s be honest, you end up watching the screen more than the actual performer. Now that I’m older and can invest a bit more in experiences, I knew I wanted to be as close to the stage as possible.
If you’re considering going and can stretch your budget, the VIP Pit is 100% the way to go.

The Concert Experience: A Night to Remember
Usher delivered a high-energy performance packed with classics like Nice & Slow, Lovers and Friends, and Yeah!. Of course, social media has been buzzing about the cherry-eating moment—which was just as entertaining in person!
One thing many fans (including myself) noticed is that Usher could have sung more. While we all love his iconic dance moves, it would’ve been great to hear him go full vocal on at least one track. That said, the show was still a 10/10 for me. If I had the funds, I’d book again in a heartbeat—VIP Pit only!
Tickets Are Still Available
If you’re an Usher fan, don’t wait—there are still tickets available! I recently got an email from The O2 about more ticket releases, so if you’re thinking about going, now’s your chance.
Getting Home from the O2: A Pleasant Surprise
Leaving The O2 after a major concert can be a logistical nightmare, with thousands of fans rushing for public transport. But this time, I was pleasantly surprised.
I left right after Usher’s final song, Without You, at around 10:44 PM, and I made it home in under an hour. Getting on the Tube was quick and easy, which made the night even better.
Final Thoughts: Should You Go?
If you love R&B, enjoy a high-energy performance, and want a fun night out (without the kids), Usher’s O2 residency is a must-see. Just be ready for plenty of dancing, incredible nostalgia, and some iconic moments you’ll be talking about for weeks.
