K Craft Studio offers a variety of candle-making options, and we tried the Potted Cactus Candle workshop. This experience allows you to create a beautiful cactus-themed candle in two sizes: 8cm for £48 per person or 13cm for £65 per person.
The session started with selecting a fragrance for our candles, with a great selection of scents, including coconut, coffee, and martini. After choosing our favourite, we placed the wicks inside the candle glasses, securing them with glue dots to keep them in place.
Next, we selected our cactus moulds before working with the hot wax. Due to the use of hot wax, this experience is best suited for children aged 10 and up. Initially, I was a little cautious about my daughter handling the wax, but after helping her at first, I realised she was more than capable. Of course, I kept a watchful eye throughout the process.
We had the option to use different colours for our wax moulds, which added a creative touch. Once the wax moulds were prepared, they were placed in the freezer while we filled our candles with wax beads, available in a range of lovely colours. After setting, we carefully removed the cactus moulds and positioned them on top of our candles, completing our unique creations.
The final results were absolutely stunning, and the entire experience was incredibly enjoyable. K Craft Studio provided all materials, including aprons, and clear step-by-step guidance. Any questions we had were answered promptly, making the workshop stress-free and engaging.
