The Polar Express™ Train Ride London: A Magical REVIEW

The Polar Express™ Train Ride in London is a truly magical Christmas experience that delivers festive joy for both kids and adults alike. From the moment you check in, the atmosphere is full of excitement. After checking in, there’s a chance to browse some themed merchandise and take festive photos, setting the tone for the enchanting journey ahead. Before boarding, the fun begins with a lively sing-along on stage, where everyone gets into the holiday spirit. The conductor’s grand entrance signals it’s time to board, adding an extra touch of theatre to the experience.

Finding our carriage was easy, thanks to clear ticket instructions and helpful staff. The train itself was beautifully decorated with festive touches, from the lamps on each table to the overall cosy ambiance. Our cabin was hosted by two energetic chefs who immediately set a cheerful tone. They even took the time to ask about allergies before serving cookies and hot chocolate. While the allergy-friendly cookie wasn’t my favourite, I appreciated the effort to cater to all guests. The classic cookie and hot chocolate combination, paired with the festive setting, made it feel like a scene from the beloved story.

The journey to the North Pole was interactive and full of energy, with singing, storytelling, and plenty of opportunities to engage with the characters. The chefs and conductor were exceptional at keeping the children entertained, but they also included the adults, making it fun for everyone. Hearing The Polar Express™ story read aloud while surrounded by festive decorations was a nostalgic highlight that brought the magic of Christmas to life.

Meeting Santa was a truly special moment. He spent time with every passenger, ensuring everyone felt included. Each guest received a magical bell, and Santa’s elf added an extra layer of fun. Santa later returned for photos, which gave everyone a chance to capture memories of this enchanting experience.

As the train journey came to an end, we sang carols and had our tickets stamped by the conductor—a thoughtful detail that added to the overall immersion. Tickets start at £59.95 per person, which might seem pricey at first glance, but considering the level of detail, the number of staff and actors dedicated to each carriage, and the immersive nature of the experience, it’s well worth the cost. The performers’ energy and effort throughout were exceptional, creating a seamless and magical journey for everyone on board.

I’m so glad this experience has finally made its way to London, as I’m sure many Londoners are! It’s so easy to get to Euston station!

The Polar Express™ Train Ride is a fantastic Christmas treat that’s sure to leave lasting memories. The kids were absolutely captivated, and even as an adult, I found myself caught up in the magic of the moment. If you’re on the fence about booking, don’t hesitate—this is an experience you won’t want to miss. With limited tickets left, now is the time to secure your spot and get ready for an unforgettable journey to the North Pole.
