We recently had the pleasure of hosting another free event for families in London, this time at Gootopia inside Southside Shopping Centre, Wandsworth. This glow slime party was a fun-filled experience for 24 kids who got hands-on with all things slime, creating memories and taking home a tub of their very own glow-in-the-dark slime.
Organising an event like this took a bit of planning, but it was well worth it. I booked the large group slime party package at Gootopia, which covers up to 15 children for £299. To make space for everyone who wanted to join, I added nine more children for an additional cost, bringing the total to £434. Fortunately, two generous donors contributed a combined £300 towards the event, and I covered the rest myself.
The party lasted a lively 90 minutes, with every child getting fully involved in creating their unique slime. Gootopia provided all the necessary materials and containers, so each child left with two tubs – one with their own custom slime and another with a sample of giant slime. The glow effect was a big hit, and watching the kids’ excitement as they crafted and experimented with their slime was such a joy.
Hosting family events like this in London brings me so much satisfaction. Seeing the success of this slime party, just like our previous pizza party, motivates me to keep organising these activities. I hope to continue offering free events for families, but to make this possible, I need a bit of help.
