REVIEW: Bakehouse by Signorelli’s Little Bakers Session – is it worth it?

Over the summer we attended the “Little Bakers” session at Bakehouse by Signorelli (E20 1JJ), just a short walk from Stratford station, with my 8-year-old, and it was a nice experience overall. The session is a wonderful opportunity for kids to explore their creativity while parents enjoy some quality time with them. The setup was lovely, with the kids getting to make, decorate their own treats and, of course, eat them afterward!

While the class is aimed at children aged 4-12, I found that it might be more suited for the younger end of that range. The session felt a little unstructured, which might work well for very young kids who enjoy doing things at their own pace. However, my 8-year-old prefers a bit more guidance and would have benefited from more direction from the host.

Before the class began, the kids were given colouring sheets and pens, which kept them entertained while waiting.

At £15 per child, the price is quite reasonable. The kids were given a couple biscuits to decorate along with the ones they made with the cookie cutters. Everything was provided, from aprons and biscuit cutters to the dough itself, which was great.

The session lasted just over an hour, making it ideal for younger children. Inside, there’s a small play area, which is a thoughtful addition for families. Additionally, there’s a playground right outside, conveniently located opposite the venue.

All in all, it was a fun experience for the kids, but I’d recommend it more for younger children. Keep an eye on their Instagram or website for future kids’ classes if you’re interested!
