Magic Robin Hood Holiday Park REVIEW: The Perfect Family Destination in Spain

We just spent three wonderful nights at the Magic Robin Hood Hotel in Alfaz del Pi, and it’s the perfect holiday spot for families with kids of all ages—from babies to toddlers to teens. Everyone in the family will find something to enjoy. You’re especially going to love this holiday if you’re into all things medieval.

I booked our flights with Ryanair, which wasn’t the cheapest but was the most “affordable” airline I could find at the time. Flight prices vary based on many factors, so I can’t predict when you’ll find the best deal. I booked the flights separately since the hotel took care of our accommodation and transfers. If you’re inspired to book after reading this, you’ll be pleased to know that you can arrange everything together directly on the Magic Robin Hood Hotel website. Keep reading as I have a special discount code you can all use!

We flew from Stansted to Alicante, the nearest airport to the hotel, with a flight time of just over 2 hours. From there, we took a 45-minute transfer to the hotel using the Beniconnect service arranged by the hotel. Finding the Beniconnect stand at the airport was straightforward, and the bus had air conditioning, which was fantastic given the hot weather!

When we arrived, we received an information pack, and the staff explained everything to us. Upon arrival, you are given wristbands based on the type of accommodation you have booked. These wristbands also serve as your room key; simply scan them on the door handle to lock and unlock your room. It’s brilliant—no more digging through your bag for a key card. We found this feature incredibly helpful during our holiday.

A staff member directed us to a buggy stop right outside the hotel, where we could wait for a buggy to take us to our accommodation. This was very helpful, especially since we had heavy bags. Our accommodation was fantastic. We stayed in the Lodge ‘Lion Heart’ Premium, which has a capacity for 3 to 7 people.

Our accommodation was well-equipped, offering a variety of amenities to enhance our stay. It featured a hot tub, TVs in both the living room and bedrooms, a pull-out sofa, and wardrobes. The kitchenette included a microwave, mini fridge, kettle, and tea and coffee making facilities. Air-conditioning kept the space comfortable, and the bunkbeds provided extra sleeping arrangements. The bathroom was stocked with a shower, toilet, towels, shower gel, shampoo, and a hairdryer. Additionally, daily housekeeping services ensured our beds were made, towels were refreshed as needed, and the mini fridge was restocked with drinks, which we found to be fantastic.

They have numerous themed cabins that will transport you to the medieval era. Check their website to find the one that best suits you and your family.

Magic Robin Hood offers various accommodation packages including bed and breakfast, half board, full board, and all-inclusive. However, I highly recommend the ultra all-inclusive package, as that was our experience, and it provides the best value.

One of the standout benefits of the ultra all-inclusive package is access to the Magic Beach Club Collection. This includes a gastro lounge located on the beachfront of Benidorm, where you can enjoy exclusive dining experiences.

With the ultra all-inclusive package, you can also enjoy themed restaurants inspired by the legend of Robin Hood. Booking a table is easy via their app. Plus, if you’re craving pizza, simply order through the app before 5 pm, and it will be delivered to your cabin. Additionally, your mini fridge is replenished daily, ensuring you always have fresh drinks, except on the day of departure.

The most significant benefit of the ultra all-inclusive package is the ability to access multiple resorts. Magic Robin Hood is part of the Magic Costa Blanca Hotels, and with this package, you can visit other resorts and enjoy their facilities, food, and drinks. We took advantage of this by getting a free transfer to Hotel Magic Aqua Rock in Benidorm, where we spent half a day enjoying the pool and dining options. This experience made us eager to explore more of their hotels in the future.

If you’re considering a visit to Magic Robin Hood, I strongly suggest opting for the ultra all-inclusive package. For more details, check out this section of their website.

If you have been watching our Instagram stories, you’ll know that I’ve mentioned Magic Robin Hood as the perfect family destination, regardless of the ages of your children or adults. There truly is something for everyone here.

At Magic Robin Hood, you’ll find an ice rink, archery, mini golf, a skate park, tennis courts, foam parties (which we absolutely loved), kids’ mini disco, arcade games, a gaming room, darts, parrot shows, evening entertainment, ping pong, laser tag, rifle shooting, rock climbing, multi-adventure activities, pools, slides, and soft play. It really is fantastic!

One thing to note about the pools is that they are quite cold, but with the hot weather, you’ll likely appreciate the refreshment. Also, some areas of the pools are quite deep, so be sure to pack swimming aids.

My daughter attended the kids club twice, for about one to two hours each time, and she absolutely loved it. She made friends from various countries, including the UK. I felt very confident in her safety. You sign your kids in and out, and to collect them, you simply share your room number with a staff member. There was always a staff member at the entrance, ensuring no one could leave without proper authorization. This made the environment very secure for her and the other children.

During this time, we adults took the opportunity to check out the spa, which was lovely. While I love spending time with my daughter, having this little break was amazing. Knowing she was in a happy, safe environment allowed me to fully relax and enjoy some adult time. If you have the ultra all-inclusive package, you get free access to the spa: 1 hour if your stay is four nights or more, and 2 hours if your stay is seven nights or more.

In terms of food, we thoroughly enjoyed dining at the main buffet, the Golden Arrow. I appreciated the wide variety of options, from paella to fresh fruits and vegetables, to doughnuts and chocolate fountains. If you have any allergies or dietary concerns, make sure to inform the staff in advance, ideally at the time of booking.

The holiday park also features numerous bars and food trucks scattered throughout. At check-in, you’ll receive an information pack detailing their locations and opening times. You’ll find everything from ice cream to kebabs to cocktails.

You can pay a €1 deposit via the app or at reception for a cup, which you can use throughout your stay and exchange for a new one whenever you want. Additionally, there are water fountains around the holiday park, so bring a reusable bottle or purchase one there.

Everything is on one level, so you don’t have to worry about lifts. If you’re looking for the best accommodation, the “Sherwood” cabin is ideal as there are no steps.

There’s a walkable beach, Playa Altea, about a 30-minute walk from Magic Robin Hood. We did the walk and even found a Lidl and Aldi along the way. The beach is a pebble beach, but still lovely to visit. We ended up taking a taxi back, which cost just under €6 and accepts both card and cash. Additionally, Magic Robin Hood offers a free bus into Benidorm, where there’s another beach. This bus can be booked through their app.

On June 14th, I checked the website for accommodation (excluding flights and transfers) for two adults and two children, for the dates October 28th to November 4th, which falls during the October half-term for many.

For the Lodge ‘Lion Heart’ Premium (2/5 pax), where we previously stayed, the prices were as follows:

Bed and breakfast: from €1395
Half board: from €1477
Full board: from €1560
All inclusive: from €1630
Ultra all inclusive: from €1784

These prices can be further reduced with our discount code “MAGICKIDDOADVENTURES”.

We truly enjoyed our stay and would go back in a heartbeat. I’m happy to answer any questions, but for the best advice, it’s best to contact Magic Robin Hood directly. I hope this post inspires your visit!
