REVIEW of “Stranger Things: The First Shadow” – A Brilliant Theatrical Adaptation

I’m keeping this short and sweet because I don’t want to spoil the incredibly theatrical production that is Stranger Things: The First Shadow. You absolutely must watch the series on Netflix first before seeing the stage show. Everything ties together, making it essential for viewers to understand the story fully. This play serves as a prequel to the events of the television series “Stranger Things.”

Stranger Things: The First Shadow is the best piece of theatre I’ve ever seen. It’s not just because I’m a huge fan of the series, but because of how well it was put together. The special effects were incredible, often leaving me wondering, “How on earth did they just do that?”

The cast was absolutely brilliant, especially the actor who played Henry Creel. He brought out a level of creepiness I’ve yet to see on stage before—simply fantastic.

Be prepared for some scary and jumpy parts. I definitely jumped a few times, but I absolutely love these moments, so it was great!
We sat in the stalls row H, seats 21 and 22, and they were great seats. I highly recommend sitting in the stalls for this show if you can and as close as possible. There were some intricate details that I don’t think I would have noticed if we had sat further away or higher up.
