Immerse yourself in the magic of the Winter’s Tale Afternoon Tea at Homage restaurant within The Waldorf Hilton Hotel, nestled in the heart of Aldwych, London. This enchanting experience, blending the charm of Christmas with the whimsy of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” unfolds in a setting that pays meticulous attention to every detail.
Priced at £59 per adult (without any extras) and £35 per child, the afternoon tea promises a culinary journey, with a menu that caters to diverse tastes. For tea enthusiasts, a selection ranging from Organic Chamomile to Organic Jasmine Pearls awaits, while hot chocolate remains a delightful choice for younger guests.

The gastronomic highlights include a winter warmer that steals the show – Spiced apple and swede soup with maple and cinnamon cream. The Olive, rosemary, and vegan feta tart, adorned with candied pecans adds a layer of culinary sophistication. I didn’t actually realise at the time that it did have pecans in it and had a very mild reaction (thankfully) so let this be your reminder that if you do you have any allergies, just double check the menu.

The Signature Enchanted Rose Cocktail, a blend of Whitley Neill Rhubarb and Ginger Gin, Lillet Rosé, and other exquisite ingredients, is presented with a touch of theatrical elegance in a glass shell, reminiscent of the iconic rose from the movie.

This experience transcends the palate. A professional harpist serenades guests with a repertoire of Disney Classics and Christmas tunes, weaving an auditory tapestry that enhances the magical ambiance.
I was impressed by the meticulous table decor. The menu, resembling the stained glass from Beauty and the Beast’s castle, added a delightful touch. Our napkins were intricately folded into roses, and a glass-covered illuminated rose heightened the overall experience with its magical charm.

The beauty and the beast afternoon Thea ant the Waldorf was an absolute disappointment. we didn’t receive our tea until half way through our afternoon tea had begun.
The sandwiches were appalling. My daughter was given 3 small finger sandwiches in awful white bread (I would’nt serve white bread at home!) and adults 4 finger sandwiches! I mean the portions were ridiculous. We were then given a tray of cakes to share and to be honest these were just awful!
When the tea finally arrived, the Mrs teapot was spilling hot beverage all over the plates.
They provided hot chocolate for a child in an adults mug , and had it at boiling hot temperature. I had to feed my child with a spoon because the mugs were ridiculously large.
For such a prestigious venue, you’d expect a degree of common sense.
Having attended afternoon tea at the savoy, the mad hatters tea party, charlie and the chocolate factory tea party. I have you to the beauty and the beast afternoon tea at the Waldorf was by far the worst one .
Theyve actually put us off afternoon tea going forward. For what they charge, I think it’s despicable in terms of the qualities you serve and the quality of your cutlery/ teapots.
The scones were the only decent food item.
