Cinderella at New Wimbledon Theatre stands out as my all-time favorite panto experience. Our family’s Christmas tradition includes a visit to the theatre for their pantomime, and each time is an absolute delight. The particular production we enjoyed was not only hilarious but also had us seated in the perfect spots – stalls row C, seats 19, 20, and 21. These seats offer an impeccable view, but it’s worth noting that they incorporate a considerable amount of smoke and special effects.
One highlight of the show is the clever twist on well-known songs, injecting humor into familiar tunes. A magical scene just before the interval left the entire audience in awe – Cinderella’s journey to the ball in a flying carriage with horses was nothing short of spectacular. Spoiler alert: a snowy surprise added an extra layer of enchantment.
For fans of Strictly Come Dancing, the presence of Craig Revel Horwood as the evil stepmother is a delightful treat. The show runs until January 7, 2024, with tickets starting at an affordable £13. The runtime of approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, including the interval, makes it a perfect outing for families. While there are no strict age restrictions, I recommend it for children aged 5 and above or those who can comfortably sit through the entire performance.
As the nature of pantomimes entails cheeky jokes and innuendos, parents should consider whether it aligns with their preferences for a family-friendly outing.
Conveniently, both Wimbledon and South Wimbledon stations are nearby, and for parking, I opted for the Broadway car park using the RingGo app, paying £8.20 for four hours.
Overall, New Wimbledon Theatre’s Cinderella is a must-see, combining laughter, magic, and a touch of dance for a memorable festive experience.

Loved Cinderella. Buttons brilliant and the wicked stepmother, Craige Revel Horward was brilliant. It was a fantastic pantomime for children and adults. So glad we went to see it. It’s good to relax and also everyone needs to have a really good laugh at sometime. It made us all have that very happy feeling when we left. Very well done to the cast you all were excellent. *****
