Reviewing the BBC Earth Experience in London: Is it Worth the Money?

Are you considering a visit to the BBC Earth Experience in London and wondering if it’s worth the money? I’m here to take you through the journey and help you decide.

BBC Earth Experience is a unique opportunity to dive into the wonders of the natural world. Guided by the iconic David Attenborough, this immersive exhibit showcases breathtaking footage of our beautiful planet. It’s a spectacular journey through our seven unique continents on an epic scale.

The main room is a visual treat with large screens of different shapes and sizes, all in high definition. It’s a true feast for the eyes. What’s more, there are comfy bean bags for you to relax on while you take in the mesmerizing scenes.

However, there’s more to discover. You’ll find a room dedicated to micro-life, which might not be for everyone, especially if you’re not a fan of bugs. On the other hand, Water Life is a hit with the kids. The interactive screens respond to your movements, making it an engaging experience for all.

The main purpose of our invitation was to celebrate the launch of the new Hey Duggee and BBC Earth Experience activities. Upon arrival, you can grab a booklet and engage in the enjoyable activities it offers. My little girl had a great time with them.

Location: BBC Earth Experience is situated at The Daikin Centre, Earl’s Court, Empress Place, London, SW6 1TT. The closest train stations are West Brompton and Earl’s Court.

For those driving to the venue, I found convenient parking on Seagrave Road, right opposite the center. Using the Ringo app, I paid just under £10 for 2 hours and 42 minutes of parking. Be sure to carefully read the parking signs to avoid any issues during your visit.

Child tickets start at just £15, and for adults, it’s £19. Even better, children under 3 can attend for free. Additionally, there’s a £15 concession rate available from Tuesday to Friday for students and Universal and Pension Credit recipients.

In my opinion, yes it’s worth the money. The BBC Earth Experience offers a captivating and educational adventure that could easily fill your entire day. It’s a fantastic experience for nature enthusiasts and anyone who appreciates the work of David Attenborough. While it would be great if it were more budget-friendly, the quality of the experience justifies the cost. I’d happily return as a paying customer, and I’ll keep an eye out for any discounts to share with you.

During our journey home, my little girl and I compared the BBC Earth Experience to other similar offerings, like Frameless and Illusionaries. She preferred Frameless due to its art and interactive floor, whereas I found the BBC Earth Experience more appealing, given my passion for nature (only on screen lol) and David Attenborough’s narration. It’s an incredibly calming experience, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it lulls you into a nap.

So, there you have it. The BBC Earth Experience in London is indeed worth the adventure, offering a captivating and immersive journey through the natural world. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or just looking for a unique day out, this experience has something to offer for everyone. So go ahead and plan your visit, and let the wonders of our planet captivate your senses.
