In April 2023, Fortnum’s Food & Drink Studio, a haven for extraordinary culinary experiences, threw open its doors. This beautifully crafted space served as the backdrop for our cookie workshop.
Each child donned a charming apron and a chef’s hat, fully equipped to dive into the messy world of cookie creation. The best part? The dough was prepped and ready for rolling, sparing us from a floury mess.
Parents were treated to a choice of water or a fizzy tea, the taste of which I can’t forget. I should’ve asked for the name!
The array of prebaked cookies awaited the kids, eager to be transformed into edible masterpieces. These sugary canvases, alongside the ones crafted from scratch, were popped in a box at the end for the kids to take home.
The Halloween Cookie Baking & Decorating Masterclass at Fortnum and Mason was a splendid experience. I wholeheartedly wish for more such events in the future. As I’ve mentioned before, any opportunity for my daughter to get gloriously messy outside our home is an opportunity worth savoring.
