Into the Bubbles: A Lush Kids’ Birthday Party – REVIEW

Tomorrow, our little miss turns 7, and we’re marking the occasion with a stylish birthday celebration at a Lush party! I discovered their birthday events last year during their fantastic Halloween Bath Bomb Making Event. Today, I’ll share our experience, focusing on Lush White City inside Westfield. Parties cost £25 a head, which involves everything detailed below.

What does the party involve?

Their in-store parties last for 1 hour and 30 minutes. You have the option to pick between two themes: Fun and Games or Treat Yourself, each shaping the mood and atmosphere for your celebration.

Each party reservation comes with personalized games and activities, a product-making kit of your choosing, and an exclusive party product for every guest. The guest of honor receives three exclusive products to take home.

Here are the time slots:

Mon-Fri between 10:30 – 19:00 (Min amount of guests is 6)
Saturday between 10:30 – 19:00 (Min amount of guests is 8)
Sunday between 12:00 – 18:30 (Min guest amount is 8)

Sunday slot at 10:30 – 12:00 (For this slot you’ll have the store to yourself as it does not open until 12:00 so they reserve this for 10 guests or more)

The minimum age requirement is 6. For guests under 16, an accompanying adult must stay throughout the party.

A 50% deposit of the total amount is required upon booking, with the remaining balance payable in-store on the day of the party. Alternatively, you have the option to pay the full amount on the day of booking.

Consuming food is not permitted during the party in adherence to their health and safety policy. However, you are welcome to bring water for your guests to stay hydrated.

The store requests that only a maximum of two parents stay to observe during children’s parties, allowing others to explore shopping for an hour and a half, much to their delight!

While I stayed to observe, all the kids had a fantastic time! The party kicked off with the wonderful host, Eve, having the kids write their names on stickers—one for themselves and one for the bath bomb they would make. Eve, impressively, learned all the kids’ names and shared educational information about Lush products. Little Miss now wants to ditch her glitter at home, aware of its environmental impact!

Next, the kids had fun by the sinks, watching a snow fairy bath bomb fizz and turn the water pink. They took turns blowing bubbles with the Snow Fairy Bubble Blowing Wand—a huge hit!

Then came the highlight: bath bomb-making. The kids crafted Toby’s Magic Cow, enjoying mixing vibrant colors together. They also explored their creativity with the 4-in-1 play, “mold your own snow fairy.”

Lip scrub tasting followed, with the kids guessing the flavors—a highly enjoyable part. They made wishes using limited edition fairy dust on the Lush fairy tree.

The festivities included a game of “guess the body spray smell,” story time with the bath bombs, and concluded with everyone singing “happy birthday” to Little Miss.

The kids left with smiles and cool goodie bags. Little Miss received three exclusive products, the bath bomb, and the 4-in-1 play mold—making her very happy. The entire party, hosting 8 kids, would’ve cost me £200, which I think is quite reasonable.

Considering Lush’s events on Eventbrite before booking a party is recommended to gauge your child’s interest. Overall, it was a great party experience!

While this party was complimentary, as always, all views expressed are my own.
