The most important thing you need to know is that you must pre-book your parking!! You can do it here. If you do not pre-book, you will have nowhere to park and will most likely have to turn back and go home.
To be honest with you, I did see some people (on my way home) parking quite far away and walking to the beach, but that would be an absolute nightmare with kids. Just pre-book to save yourself a headache. It’s just £8 for the day. Not expensive at all.
I highly recommend getting there as early as possible. I planned to get there at 7 am, but we ended up getting there just after 8 am. The beach was lovely and we practically had it to ourselves for a few hours before it started to get busy. If you follow us on Instagram, then you would know that I said it’s just under two hours from London, but for us, it was only one hour and 30 minutes. It was such a quick drive, and I’m so happy to do it again.
The nearest train station is Chichester. From there you’ll have to get a taxi. Chichester Station Taxis are located right opposite the train station and can be contacted on 01243 774948. I saw on the WW beach Instagram page that they’re not allowing taxis to drop you off at the car park so I’m unsure where the taxi can drop and pick up up from. It’s best to call and ask.
Stagecoach run the 52 and 53 bus service from Chichester bus station, located next to the railway station. The nearest bus stop is by The Old House at Home Pub, and it’s around a 10 minute walk from the beach.
Toilets are available. I didn’t check them out because I don’t do public toilets, lol but yes they’re there and ready for you to use!
There’s also a cafe super close by. You’ll be able to find it easy. I did see that they do breakfast BAP‘s so if you want to go there early in the morning and have your breakfast there, that’s a good idea! They do ice cream, slushies, cold drinks etc. Like I always say, make sure you bring your own food!
Fun fact.
West Wittering beach is just a 28 minute drive from Butlins Bognor and 25 minutes from Bunn Leisure.
Beach Hut Hire.
Yay there are beach huts and after a bit of research I found…
