REVIEW: Exploring Kew Little Pigs – A Unique Animal Encounter

Today we had a PIGTASTIC experience at Kew Little Pigs!

Address: Old Amersham Farm, High St, Amersham HP7 0HR

Parking is FREE! The nearest station is Amersham. It’s a 5-minute taxi ride from there.

They have quite a few different experiences, and you can see them all here. We did the “Pet and Play” experience, and we both enjoyed it.

The “Pet and Play” experience is suitable for all ages and group sizes under 6.

Here’s what to expect during your 1 hour and 30-minute visit:

Begin with an informative introduction to the various types of pigs, complete with amusing anecdotes. You’ll also receive a brush.

Explore the different Petting Pens where you can interact with the Miniature Pigs.

Enjoy the opportunity to brush and groom the pigs at your leisure.

Capture plenty of memorable moments with numerous photo opportunities.

The experience runs at various start times: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, and 2pm.

Price

£30 per person.

Everyone will need a ticket as no spectators are allowed. Children under 3 go FREE.

If you want to save money, then book on Groupon.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see any newborn piglets during our visit today as we were informed that they had recently been sold. According to their website’s “Miniature Pigs for Sale” section, new litters are expected by the end of May, so if you’re keen on seeing newborns, it might be worth waiting until then to book your visit.

Despite this, we had a delightful time. Each pig has its own endearing personality, and they are incredibly cute! It’s a highly enjoyable experience for the entire family. There were other families present as well, but everyone respected the social distancing rules. Only 10 people are allowed in each pen, ensuring ample space to maintain a safe distance from others.

From what I know, there are no toilets on-site, but there are plenty of hand sanitizers available. You can also find refreshments and a small gift shop. We received excellent service from friendly staff, so we’re definitely looking forward to visiting again in the future.
